I could have won a recent major 'Show and Shine' had I entered - according to every spectator who walked by my parked vision outside the show. And that's the reaction I get wherever I go. I have not lost a minute of riding because of any glitches - nor has my dealer been asked to fix anything in my 6 months of ownership. I LOVE IT ! |

The Poconos | I would absolutley do it again. There has never been a second thought about owning this tremendous bike. The smile on my and my wifes face seems to be permanent while riding.
The warranty issues have been fixed without question and in a timely manner.

Jasper, MO | I would do it again. I have had no real problems with my Vision and my dealer is great. They called me about the ignition switch recall (I had no problems with it) and dropped everything else when I showed up at the dealership on a Saturday morning and did the recall/update. When I mentioned that my audio volume wasn't up to par, they rolled my bike into the shop and reflashed the firmware to the latest version. Problem solved. I think that this is the best bike I have ever owned in 43 years of riding. It's like a Goldwing, only more comfortable and has more character.

Warren, Vermont | Do it again - you betcha! I expect to take delivery of my 2nd Vision a 10th Anniversary edition in a couple weeks.
My dealer, Shaker Valley Motors in Enfield, NH has been fantastic and has emphasized extraordinary customer service.
Polaris warranty response -- good news, bad news -- good- I haven't needed much and bad- their response on a fit and finish issue was considerably less that satisfactory.
The Vision is a great motorcycle and the ultimate luxury touring cruiser!

Carrollton, TX | Buying the Vision has been the best and must satisfying purchase decision I have made in my life, period! I would buy the Vision again without question! In just 6 months I have put over 20,000 miles on my Vision and I have had no issues at all with it. My dealer, Rick Fairless' Strokers of Dallas has been awesome in providing all services, installing options or performing standard maintenance. The Vision is the most comfortable bike on the market, handles like a sport-bike and provides the best wind and weather protection of any bike. The integrated electronics are awesome as well as all the other well thought out features like adjustable windshield, tip over protection, heated seats and grips, cruise control and the best lighting of any bike I have ridden. It also doesn’t hurt that this Vision is a looker. On my just completed 15 day 8,000 mile trip on the Vision a super model wouldn’t be able to compete with the Vision for attention unless she was nude. Everyone from babies in strollers to teenage cuties to other bikers and 95 year old women gather to drool over the Vision. |

VA | I don't think my experience has been as bad as some others. Knock on wood, I've had very minor things, like the dimple in the seat. I wish the stock radio was better, and I wish they had said when I bought the bike that the hard drive based iPod's won't work because of the vibration (but that made the wife agree to a iPod nano, which I really like). My dealer is good, but I can't say hawesome because I've never had anything major go wrong. I would do it again in a second. Sure, each year's production SHOULD have fewer flaws, and they'll probably add something really cool that I won't be able to get on mine, but that's every vehicle you ever buy. If they didn't, no one would buy a new one as often. WHich is funny since Harley rarely makes changes. I was surprised to see ABC added. I would have thought die-hard Harley guys would say how skidding and possibly crashing are part of the joys of being a Harley owner. |

The Vision is a great bike. Yes, it has some glitches, but for a new bike, these are managagle, and for me, mostly minor. Most have been taken care of by my Dealer, but there are a couple that require approval from Victory, which has not been forthcoming. Hours waiting on the phone, and lame excuses are what I get from Victory. My Dealer has now come clean that Polaris is the most difficult vendor they deal with, and they sell and service the full line of Polaris products, including Victory.
In a recent response to a problem I have been trying to get taken care of since I bought my bike, my Dealer told me that if it had been a Yamaha (which they also sell), it would have been handled the first time with no questions. Apparently not the case with Polaris. As soon as I heard this, I had a moment of regret about the Vision, which is a real shame given what a good bike it is overall, and how much I enjoy it. But I admit that I have asked myself if I prefer to have the Vision and deal with really poor customer support from the manufacturer, or find something that I would not like as well, but would be assured of great service. So far the Vision speaks for itself, and it does so loudly.
I guess you can't discount the child just because the parents are idiots!
Anyway, I love my Vision, and don't regret my decision to buy it.

| Smitty, you know the history of my bike, lots of issues. Now I'm going to state my opinion BUT I want folks to think about what I'm saying and not jump to unwarranted conclusions.
I would wait for the 2010's to release if I had it to do all over. Now the stuff I have had go wrong are relatively minor so if you have time that the bike will be down anyhow you could buy a 2008 and not worry. This said if you ride a lot and don't like down time 2010. You need to bear in mind that I have come off of 2 Harley Road Glides (most recent bikes) that NEVER went in for anything except oil and tire changes and I do ride a lot. So even 5 or 6 trips to the dealer test my patience.
This said "IF" I had dibbs on a 10th model, I would definitely BUY. With the LIMITED number will come even CLOSER quality control inspection, after all Victory doesn't want any complaints on these bikes. So you could rest assured every possible step had been taken to make sure the 10th models are perfect.
Finally you don't see me off-loading my 2008. Yes, it has bugs, yes more trips to the dealer than the Harleys, but I had figured this into the purchase of a first year bike. My dealer is getting MUCH better with knowing the bike and how to address its concerns and quite frankly they are getting to know me a bit better (my buttons and how not to press them, lol). I am VERY pleased with Victories willingness to support any work my dealer feels is appropriate under warranty. Harley not so much, lol..... |

I've had more than my share of issues, but most of the problems were an annoyance and not related to safety.
My dealer, and Polaris, have replaced / repaired everything I've requested in a timely manner.
I've never experienced customer service like this with other bikes I've owned. Most of the time I've found it next to impossible to get even the most outrageous problems covered under warranty. Not so with Polaris.

So Cal | With out a doubt! Best bike I have ever owned! The biggest problem is lack of dealers in this area. I've had a few minor issues that the dealer has handled with no problem. Considering the bike has been to the dealer more times for service than warranty issues, I cant complain. There are a few querks with the info center but it's a computer, and computers burp and fart sometimes for no reason. It's my daily driver and after 6k, has never let me down. |

| cjnoho, I think you NAILED the most important thing that needs answered, "has the bike left you stranded"? I have yet to hear of ANYONE who has had an issue that left them broken down on the road. There might have been but I sure haven't heard of any.
I'm kind of spoiled since I haven't had any breakdowns on any of my bikes since the late 70's. So long as I don't I'm pretty content. |

20 miles west of Chicago. | A qualified yes. I'd do it again. Neither I nor anyone I know of has had a major problem with a Vision. By major problem I mean the failure of an engine or drive train component, forks, brakes, steering head, rear suspension, clutch, frame component, etc. which would render the bike totally inoperative. The Vison is in that respect extremely reliable. It is also a very comfortable bike to ride, and handles extremely well, not only for a 900 lb. touring bike, but for any bike.
The qualification comes with little things. I am retired and live forty miles from my dealer, who is really good. I have read of dealers who are something less than that and I comiserate with those who have had problems and have trouble resolving them because of the lack of knowledge or enthusiasm on the part of a dealer. My point is that it is no hardship for me to take a ride up to the dealership so that the wrench can work on the bike for an hour or two, and with a prior appointment all but the most extensive work can be done "while you wait". I understand that many are not in my position, and a ride to the dealer and possibly leaving the bike overnight or longer is a real PITA. All the problems I have had so far with my Vision, save one, have been remedied under warranty, sometimes with delays attributable to the Victory Motorcycle company, not to the dealer. These include the ignition switch recall, dimples in both saddlesbags, I-pod reflash, and leaky oil pressure sensor. The stock windshield which caused visual distortion at the upper edge I replaced with a taller aftermarket one. From what I've seen on more recent bikes, this has been taken care of. Regarding a water leak in my headlight, a new headlight is on order and the old one will be replaced under warranty. Regarding the loose nut on the relay connection currently under recall, my dealer had already tracked this down as a problem on the Vision of an acquaintance whose bike died because of it, and knowing it to be a potential problem, he checked mine as a matter of course at the 5000 mile service. All pretty much minor, niggling problems and dealt with in a satisfactory manner in time. They can I understand be irritating on a bike that costs so much, in particular if a dealer does not aggresivlely pursue a remedy with Victory. Also Victory's sometime foot dragging (As in the saddlebag dents early on.) with regard to fixing obvious flaws. My perception is that they're getting better at this lately, and well they should be. With a tightening economy the sale of any commodity and "toys" in particular is going to be increasingly affected by service and customer relations. All things considered, it's still a great bike to hit the road on.

I test drove the bike saturday all day and the only issue was the heat comming back off the motor on the right side and it looks like the louver add on is the way to go to fix that!! so again thank you , i ride in myrtle beach SC. so the heat is a issue . If their are any of you close we ride every thursday night at the chick filla on hwy 544 and meet and eat @6:30 pm cant wait to get on our new machine I believe we are going to call it major tom or the jetson's scooter... oh and, my brother is a airbrush illustrator from pittsburgh and i can't wait to see what he can come up with. |

I ride with a few Harleys all summer and none of there bikes has a chance of keeping up to me let alone the fact that I have better wind protection, I am able to hear my sound system at speed, and of course the Harley feels like a cramed mini-bike after riding on the massive amounts of seating space the Vic has!!! It also gets the attention!!! On one journey we took this summer, as a person was admiring my Vic, he included my friends brand new 2008 Ultra classic to be polite but mistaking thought it was a much older model and when I told him it too was brand new he said, "Oh, they sure don't change there styles much!!" I thought that said it all. I have put close to 4000 k on it in a relatively short time and haven't had an ounce of trouble. The more I ride it the better it runs. I find that the faster I go the smoother in runs. The milege at this point is a solid 47 miles per gallon and we don't drive the speed limit very much!!! If we did I an sure I could get a solid + 50 mpg. Everything works as it should!!! I sometimes find myself just stopping and staring at my Vic for hours because I can't get over how beautiful the lines look!!! I am also very lucky as my Victory dealer here in Red Deer Alberta bends over backwards to help me. ie. Oil change, buying accessories, etc. Unfortunately our riding season is almost over up here, but I can't wait to tour next summer. QUESTION: Has anyone had any experience with lifting there Vision on a 12" square floor jack and if so how did it work. I bought a decent floor motorcycle jack but the one time I had it up it seems rather woobley. Is this normal??? |

Hi Jim...I am in Red Deer as well Midnight Cheery Premium Tour bought from Doug/Jerome in the spring. Love the bike. Just around 15,000Kms ths summer and most of that was prior to the start of August.
I have a floor jack that I have used for my Vision. Works well. I will send you an email with my phone number and you can give me a call if you want details on the make model.
BTW....I saw a Midnight Cheery Tour going south through the intersection of Taylor Drive/Ross Street on Thursday morning (around 820AM) was that you by any chance. It was the first MC Vision I have seen on the road. As I watched it ride by I though, damn my bike looks good.

Cottage Grove, Mn | Absolutely in a heart beat, I have 6,000 very comfortable miles on mine and I am still ecstatic. IMHO it has to be the best bike on the market. Riding comfort, handling, power and performance are second to none.
I had a problem with the radio while on a trip, I called the dealer and he had one waiting for me on my return, now that's service. This is my third Victory (03TC Deluxe, 06 Jackpot that I still own) and I have had only two problems that Polaris and my dealer took care of in a very timely manner.
On another note I'm sure you all have gotten the crappy comments like the design looks like a Jetson Mobile or a Spaceship and the likes from the Harley boys. Well I just respond buy mournfully gazing at their ride and replying; at least Victory employs a design team and that usually shuts their pie hole
