| Just bought my Vision Tour. Put 1000 miles on in two days. At times on highway speeds between 65 to 80, it felt as though I was riding on marbles. felt like the bike was going to wash out from under me. Bike has new set of avon tires and I tried differnt windshield levels while riding? Just me or has anyone had this feeling? |

Posts: 725 Reno County, KS | Take it to the dealership and have it corrected ASAP! My Vision is completely stable at all speeds. I've only had her up to 90+ once and that was momentarily while I dealt with a malicous jerk I was passing. On the turnpike I routinely drove at about 80. I have to deal with heavy winds in the Midwest and she's still stable even though I have to lean. The only time I dealt with a bike "walking", I had to replace the swing arm. My guess is that you're dealing with a bad setup. They may tell you otherwise but they are probably going to work through a re-installation. Before you take her to the dealership, note the tire and suspension pressures. You may inadvertently discover that one of your tires is very low (if one is much higher than the other, you will obviously have a differential that cause the bike to "walk" . Worst case scenerio is that you completed a routine check that should be done every time (I am super-guilty of this) and you can rest assured that there is a bonafide problem. Don't feel guilty about taking your bike in for service; even if you only suspect there is a problem. Most proficient mechanics have seen these problems and are glad to correct them. |

Though to understand better would need a better description, because perception is everything. The Vision is much more responsive than any other bike I have ridden and it took me a while to get my body tuned into the way it rides. It only took a while because I was riding it like my other bike. The first few times in the winds it seemed it wanted to go all over the place. Now, it doesn't even seem to budge off its track and the crosswinds and truck wash is bearly noticable, the difference? Me and the way I was riding the Vision. But given all of that and riding around town you feel you are on "marbles" then it may be the tires or the suspension that is not properly adjusted or fastened. Get 'er fixed. Happy Motoring! I think you are experiencing the same thing I do on both my Goldwing & Vision. These bikes feel a little
squirely on the Interstate, especialy behind big rigs. I remember once preparing to die as I passed an
18 wheeler at about 85 MPH on the Vision. Well, it didn't go down, and I realize it is just my little faith
in things. I hate the steel tracked roller coasters too, as I swear they are going to fall apart, even though
logically I know these things have run thousands of times. In other words, I don't think you need to take
the Vision in (dont sue me if you fall apart )
I feel a lot more safe on the Kawasaki. Its weight is lower, and it doesn't have the wind drag to both
front & side wind blasts. But it is also missing the things I love about the Vision & Goldwing.

Posts: 297 VA | Bailey, you put a 1K, so you probably are getting comfy with it, but try testing the bike at these speeds without any cars around and see if it feels the same way. I've noticed that the air wash off of vehicles, even regular sedans will make it feel a bit squirely, but when no one else is around, it feels fine. My thought is that they made the bike as aerodynamic as possible to keep the wind off the rider. In doing this, they almost over-engineered it. If there is any disturbace in the wind pattern, the bike lets you know. I will say that with about 4K on it, I've gotten used to it, and now I don't feel like I'm going to wipe out. My last bike had no windshield, so it was pushing a brick into the wind. But that meant that I didn't feel every disturbance. Basically, the bike is so responsive that you're going to feel all the changes. At least, that's what it feels like to me. |

I'm curious about something you posted, you said your vision has Avon tires??? Is the bike new or used??? Now I wouldn't tell anyone to run a particular brand of tire BUT in this case you need to take it to the dealer and get those Avons off and Dunlops on. Avon makes 2 different tires that fit the Vision. One is rated for the bikes weight, the other is NOT and BOTH have a recent history of unexpected failure. I have heard of these Avon tires failing at less than 5k, no fun at highway speed I can assure you.
I don't mean to scare you but its been all over the wing boards. |

I agree with Teach. This bike is very sensative to rider imput. Relax and let the bike do most of the work. Here in LA the freeways are grooved for water runoff when it rains. Hard to keep a straight track on these roads. But it's not major. The bike never feels out of control. |

If I saw a shiny line on the Interstate I couldn't get off it … it was like it was grooved. If I saw what I didn't want to hit… I'd hit it. If I didn't ride off my driveway into the grass …. I would.
It's a psychological thing because I was a new green horn and was scared of the monster. Wind made me poop in my drawers. Trucks were trying to blow me off the road.
After I learned to relax and stop trying to steer the bike with both arms all ways at the same time it all changed.
Wind? I love it and never get pushed out of were I am tracking. Cross wind … I just lean into it without having to think about it. Wind from trucks … I just ride through like a experienced airplane pilot riding through hot air pockets.
Wet roads use to fill like ice. Now I only think about how far it is until I can put the rain suit on.
Grass? Nice place to park bike and show it off.
Mud? Hate it… makes my bike dirty.
As I have been saying lately.
My Victory Vision and I are as One!
I started out as a green novice and the Vision made me look good once I got past fighting the bike and let her take me on the ride of my life.

| Bike is used. 13000 k appears to be in great condition. owner says it was never wrecked. Avon tires were put on prior to me buying it. They had 500 miles on them before I rode the 1k miles home. Went through the dragons tail on the way home bike felt great at 30 to 40 mph in the turns. Just white knuckled it on the highway in traffic and running alone.
The bike is also stalling out, owner said the llyodtz kit and exhaust is to blame. Plan on taking the bike to local dealer to have it checked out. Hope I didn't buy a lemon? |

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Rich, I don't think you got a lemon. Hope you got a good deal on it though. I would change two things and bet you have a great bike. Have the dealer put OEM Dunlop 3's back on it and run them at a minimum of 40 psi. (The Dunlop's are low profile radials and the suspension is the best indicator of how well the bike was engineered as a unit.) Take off the aftermarket exhaust and controller and install Stage 1/Level 1 with the dealer flash. The bike will feel dialed in and give you a good baseline of what you might want to change in the future. A lot of the aftermarket pipes and Level 2 seem to have issues and I wouldn't mess with a Lloyd's kit unless Lloyd himself set it up. I'm not saying they are all messed up but Stage 1/Level 1 is a very safe, reliable mod and your dealer should be able to address any issues that may pop up. Don't forget the recall. May have something to do with the stalling. You may be able to dial it in yourself but this is all just my opinion. Good luck. |

One of the issues is a recall on the ignition and battery seating which causes stalls or total loss of power!. Its a dealer recall and they will fix it |
