Lost audio in left speaker. Will only get a quick dull bip when signal sent to the speaker. I know zip about electronics so only things I knew to try were to install a new speaker, clean radio connections, and look at built in diagnostics. Not looking at putting out $1,000 for new radio and probably wouldn't care much except that my GPS only comes through the left side.

Anyone know of a repair shop that will work on these?

One of my rear speakers went tits up a whiles ago. Popped both of them out and installed some Polk Audio's, but the loudness could not be projected with those from the rear... with the stock radio. Cadillac Bob hooked me up with his discarded OEM.s... and I got good sound again.

My money is on a crap speaker. Message Cadillac Bob if he still has his two discarded fronts available... cheaper than ordering a replacement from Ma Vic... why she charges so much for these inferior parts is a mystery to me....

Ronnie,

Thanks for the manufacturer info. Repair price is far more attractive then a replacement.

Wish that just a speaker swap would solve the problem. It was the first thing I tried.

You can run diagnostics check to get it.
Turn the ignition switch to ACC and turn the radio off
Turn ignition switch OFF.
Turn ignition switch back to ACC.
Press & HOLD the #1 preset button and MODE button while turning the radio power ON.
Press MODE to toggle through the diagnostic functions
The first screen shows the radio software version.
