| While at Sturgis I got to talk to a lot of people about Victory and of course the Vision.
Wish I could remember all of the names. Wade Rice (owner Rice Victory) Steve Menneto, Mike Dapper, New production manager for Victory and many more. Some I have known for years, some I just met.
I got a lot of questions of what I would change on the Vision and my number one thing was to make the headlights easy to change.
Let's start a post on changes we would like. Just an outline for corporate to read quick and easy.
Headlights easier to change
Hazard switch back on handlebars cause when I use it I need both hands on the grips
Change the center radio controls and move the upper switches to this area.
I prefer standard light bulbs. LEDs are too much hassle to repair.
Magnum speakers on the Vision.
Trunk lid that slides back then opens so passenger doesn't have to get off to access
Have the Klock Works flip windshield as an accessory option
Even easier pull on the clutch. Old Vision owners appreciate this
NO polished wheels. I want wash and go.
Lower seat position
Dual external antennas
A mount for an American flag quick and easy. Replacement flags from Victory at a reasonable price with proceeds going to Wounded Warrior Maybe they could get them from VFW/American Legion?
Your turn

Posts: 573 Central Illinois | For me it is easy. My Vision does not have good enough visibility from the rear when I signal a change. I want something more like the Briteasslites offered for HD when I try to signal a change. The BAL-1 that I had on my HD was only a brake light but why not a solid signal for turn signals too? |

- Bluetooth integrated into the bike (both transmit and receive)
- Change the display of the radio, you can not see the 3rd line of the display without leaning forward
- Keyless ignition
- Electronic bag locks

Not everyone cares for all the extras that inevitably add to the cost of ownership. Sure a lot of these extras might be nice but, do you really need them? I ride the most comfortable motorcycle out there and I love it. It' a motorcycle. |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | After 6 years on the best bike I have ever owned, I would only change the headlights to make them easier to replace, change the design of the interior of the saddlebags to make them more user friendly (at least make the opening the same size as the interior so the liners would be useful), use an external antenna for the stereo, and backlight all the control buttons. Making the trunk lights function as Run/Turn/Stop lights would also be a welcome addition.
Intercom should be standard with the CB optional (Honda got this one right).
Bluetooth, GPS, and ABS should also be optional for those who want to pay extra for them.

| I had thought about the headlights and came up with something like the Ford Ranger.
We remove the part under the windshield and there are two retainer brackets that we pull up and the headlight assembly pulls right out the front. Unplug and the whole assembly can we worked on the bench. |

Fuse for windshield motor relocated. I have heard that if the windshield is down when fuse blows, it is a pain to get to.
And as mentioned by several others, easier headlight change and trunk turn/brake/running lights. |

| One thing sure repeats it's self. Headlight replacement. Also storage.
Amazing how well it was designed on the first try.
I agree with others, keep the design but just improve the few items.
It will be interesting to find how engine heat will be affected once we go water cooled. Should just get better.
People ask for a touch screen center. That sounds good as long as it can be upgraded easily for owners that keep their bikes for years. Electronics change so quickly.
I can remember being at the 10th Anniversary party in Daytona and one owners wife wanted more rear lighting. It sure seems to me the Vision has plenty as is.
Looking forward to what comes in the future
Ride safe. |

Isn't that pretty much the same thing? What I would like to change depends on what bothers me about the present. It is just a natural way to identify improvement potentials. |

I'm not a big fan of adding aftermarket electronic accessories on a two wheel gray hound for fear of getting stranded in the middle of nowhere, which has happened more then once. As anybody seen the wiring harness on a VV? Holy Cow!! No Thanks! I would prefer the Factory to do this. Most VV/BMW and Goldwing owners are utility and function driven so the more doohickies, trinkets, atomic muffler bearings sure thing. |

We use MIL standard LEDs here at work and the number one failure during FAT testing is a bad LED. Which takes a lot more to replace. |

| I thought of something else.
NO polished aluminum wheels. What a pain to clean so mine look like crap. Give me back my painted rims like on my '99 and '03. I think the '99 rims would look great on Anny because of the black to match. Just soap, rinse and ride. |

Posts: 573 Central Illinois | frederick - 2014-09-05 10:48 AM No water cooled engine We already have that. Have you ever owned a bike with a water cooled engine? It is not high tech. Cages have been running that way for a very long time with no issues in the last few decades. Any well designed water cooled engine will beat an air cooled one any day, because the temperature control is much better. |

| The bike is pretty much great the only thing I would like to see is better lighting on the rear. Friend following me on sunny days had a hard time seeing my turn signals and brake lights. This is a safety issue more than anything else and needs to be addressed, incorporate the trunk lighting already there at minimal cost. Maybe blue tooth the radio for today's standards for electronics. The only other thing is better pricing on factory accessories they seem pretty proud of them. |

Glendale, AZ United States | Fit and Finish sub standard and needs to be on par with the Indian line up. Increased stopping power. Radio takes up too much space and needs to be moved since there is not a full size tank bag that will fit the VV. Taller 6th gear and standard color coded lower heat deflectors or take care of that problem. Unable to fill up the tires in most gas stations since a low profile nozzle is needed so adjustments need to be made there also. Vlad. |

| You can go to Amazon and get LED headlight for cheap. Why wait in less than a half of day labor you could have them.
As for polishing your wheels I'll trade you and you can have my silver wheels. Like as if you'll do that.
All stock bikes have poor stopping power thats why there is aftermarket parts.
How much stuff do you need on a trip.
You know in 2009 Harley changed there ECM so when sitting at a stop light it will shut the fuel off to the rear cylinder to cut down on the heat.
Victory should weak up and quit screwing us. |
