Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | Started hearing a light snapping sound when I apply the front brake. Started looking for the cause and found a crack in the front (painted) section of the front fender. About 1/2" long running up from the upper left mounting bolt. My repair to a similar problem with the rear section appears to be holding up fine. Heading out in 2 days for 2500 mile ride with no time to repair it before I leave. |

| Very thin coat of clear acrylic nail polish will get you thru the trip easy and will never be seen. Ride safe |

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | Try just removing the whole fender and riding. Thats what I did when mine broke and I was out on the road. There wasn't any adverse affects on handling. I've since installed a Drag Specialties tire hugger series fender.
I just had to make some spacers to get the new fender to fit. |

Will probably end up looking at the fender replacement options. Could end up on the Christmas wish list. |

Leaving tomorrow for Minnesota - watch for the Baltimore Raven wedges.
