Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | i was looking at these at my dealer last week.. seems pricey for what you actually get. but i believe they are all this pricey.. i really wanted to know this !!!! what they call the cam cover ( the small cover ) it has 2 screw holes... the stock victory cover that says 6 speed does Not have 2 screw holes.. its my understanding that there is (2) screw holes under the 6 speed cover for the little cover that has the Victory name in the center of it... but does it COME WITH THE SCREWS YOU NEED when you purchase this set up??? i cant get a straight answer on this.. and my dealer where i saw these said waht they had was a "open package" so it was as i saw it.. and that was with NO screws... |

Posts: 60 Racine, WI United States | joeC, Victory's web page with these covers shows that those new covers don't work even with the 2015 models either, that page is just screwed up. I think their whole accessories site is screwed, whenever you do a search for new products, it says that that new part won't work even with new model bikes. Anyway's, I have coves from Rick Fairless at RFCustomParts.com. |

The heavy chromed billet custom covers are held on with the screws, not just stuck on like the decals. The screws are functional.

| Arkinzeye,
What's the quality of the covers like?
So are these just a straight forward bolt on install ?
Are there unused threads under the stock covers?
Did you destroy the originals prying them off?
Thanks for any info

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | the covers are heavy duty in my opinion.. almost Over Kill.. lol thick Aluminium.
the install did Not require me to take anything off the bike , other than the covers.. BUT... having BALL END allen wrenches made all the difference.
yep there are Unused threads under the stock covers. this was my Main issue.. i couldnt get a straight answer on this, and now i know...
when you pull off the (small cover) its pretty much not reusable.
I provided you with this video. if you look, you can see how it comes off. AND even see the threads you asked about.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI5aXU3ZjdM |

Posts: 9 Lacey, WA United States | Thank you Arkainzeye,
Because of your video I ordered a set of the derby covers from Witchdoctors last week. I can't believe how fast they came. They shipped the day I ordered them. The small cover came with the screws that were needed for installation, the big cover you just use what is already there. Install was a breeze. High quality is a fact. Like you said almost overkill but that is what makes them look so nice. The video you posted revealed that the screw holes were there for the cam cover. Thanks.
