Posts: 129 Leander,Texas | I have owned my bike for about 3 months and was washing it yesterday and notices the water ran INSIDE my headlight assembly I was like ohh crap! I looked and at the top of the headlight assembly was hairline fracture of the assembly . freaked out because i know i have done nothing to hurt my dearest "vicky".
Immediatly i went to my dealer and showed him the fractures and he agreed this could not have been done by any type of impact. He immediatly order me another and said " dont worry we will cover it" I will post pics of these fractures when i get a chance . but i recommend you check yoiur headlight assembly and look for hairline fractures at the top of the assembly! |

| TexasVision I posted about this in another thread. Not only are the headlights getting the hairline fractures but they are also separating on the upper seam which is where the water is getting in. My dealer has replaced headlights on 3 of the 4 Vision he sold. I expect a dealer bulletin to be forthcoming. |

| I suspect a bulletin will be coming out soon. My new lite assy is in along with the other stuff, but waiting on the new windshield that should be in Tuesday. The shop wants to do all the recent work in one go and frankly that works for me.
Still no word on the new bar controls but I can live without that for a while.
Just so folks know because the debate over warranty was brought up in another thread, the headlite assy is $400+ bucks. Now don't get me wrong, Victory would handle this under warranty if it proves to be a large scale defect. However if it is say only a few which doesn't require a bulletin, the extended warranty would save you any out of pocket if it occured after your 1 year was up. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | Add my Vision to the list. I found two small cracks yesterday and it has water vapor on the inside of the headlamp assembly. I will see the dealer tomorrow to get this replaced.
My wife once asked what happens in the rain on the Vision. I told her that "It gets wet. It is designed to get wet." Maybe I spoke too soon.

| Tex, Victory issues bulletins to their dealers that tell them what to do, what parts are available, etc.... If the hedlite becomes a large scale problem I would suspect that a recall notice will be issued.
For example the handlebar control for the radio. Victory knows the stock unit has issues and a new part is in the works/testing. As soon as that part becomes available the company will issue a bulletin to the dealers letting them know so they can order the NEW part for replacement on the customers bike. Your dealer could presently order a stock bar control, but it would simply be a matter of time before it failed. So to prevent replacing bad with bad they use these bulletins. Hope that makes sense.
I have NOT heard of a headlite bulletin yet but I do suspect based on the number already replaced by my dealer that it will be forthcoming. You could call your dealer and ask if they have seen one for the headlite but my guess is no they haven't. The fogging and cracks aren't bad enough to justify a safety recall so I suspect they will handle this one case at a time until such time as it becomes expensive in cost to the company. I'm sure they are currently looking into WHY and how to fix the separation/cracks. Hope this helps... T |

Posts: 143 Sparta, WI | The dealer is ordering me a headlight. I have the same cracking and moisture problems. I looked at a Vision that was on the showroom floor that had about 500 miles on it and it was cracked and had moisture inside of it. |
