Hey everyone,

I just scored a set of unbaffled Vision mufflers and I am just wondering what I need to expect after installing them.

Will I need to have my "bike reflashed"?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

What do you mean "unbaffled Vision mufflers"? What are they?

You can do a search on exhaust/mufflers on this forum. There are a number of threads on this topic. There are also YouTube videos comparing L1S1, L1S2, Witchdoctor's voodoos, nascar, etc

I'm guessing you mean straight pipes? Do you have any other mods done to the bike or is exhaust your only modification?

I've got an '08 vision that came with S1L1 pipes, air filter, and map. I gutted my mufflers and am running unbaffled stocks just as you plan on doing. I added Lloyds top air filter and disconnected the O2 sensors so I wouldn't run too lean. My plugs were a little on the sooted side so I reconnected the O2 sensors and now it runs great on premium fuel.

You will hear different answers for this just like talking tires or oil. My thoughts are as follows. If the ONLY change is exhaust, you need do nothing. For without more air coming in, nothing more can "exhaust", thereby maintaining the AFR. Your stock narrow band sensors will compensate for the small difference that might occur. HOWEVER, if you are adding a top air filter, or a performance front air filter or doing ANY OTHER PERFORMANCE mods you will need a fuel module to add such as Lloydz, Cobra, or the famed PC5, etc. I would NEVER pay to have a VIC flash done. It cannot be customized, tuned and only serves to take your money. An aftermarket add on can be tuned, adjusted and changed as conditions warrant such as CAMS!
