| I saw the pic and thought of Ben Heck making heated grips for a girls bicycle she rides all winter in WI. Give her credit. She asked for heated pedals next. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | I saw a pair of heated grips for bicycles but rather then buying them I figured I would ride the Vision.

If you're first, they make a big fuss and you have to hang around long after everyone else went home. What was your time? |

Posts: 573 Central Illinois | RT forget that pedal monster. Ride your Vision instead. I have ridden my Vision this winter down to 19F. With the heated grips on "low" I found that even light weight jersey gloves were enough for my hands. I never did find a value that required my heated seats be turned on. When starting your Vision be sure to hold the starter switch until you are sure it is running right. When I was a bit too careful about letting off my starter, I managed to damage my starter clutch. Now I am a bit older and wiser and hold that switch until I am sure the engine is running instead.
Only ride that pedal monster when the Vision is not needed, at least that is my perspective. |

| Wish I would of been thinking Oldman I would of ask you to get the old starter clutch. Could of sent it to some one to see if they had a match and other wouldn't have to pay $155 bucks |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | varyder,
My time was 54:00 minutes for 8.3 miles. This is riding 8.3 on dirt, rocks and muddy ditches that are hardly wider than my peddles in some areas. Dodging deer, cactus and pedestrians are just part of the fun.
The same rules apply to riding the Vision or any motorcycle. LOOK WHERE YOU WANT TO GO!!! Do not look at the tree...or you will hit it.
Notes: Starting at 2:30 is nothing but roots and rocks....its like being pounded by hammers. 4:29 more roots and rocks with a cactus edge. 7:07 starts a lovely narrow straight section. 7:21 shows a nice cactus right on the outside of a turn....don't go wide. 9:47 shows the gully with mud. Falling around 10:40 would mean being pounded by fist sized rocks. Watch 10:40 until 11:27.
11:44 shows a bike stopped at the top of a limestone drop off. That day was the one and only time I ever did that part of the run.
When I did the drop off I hit the loose rocks in the middle and almost did not turn before hitting the first big tree on the left. I did not look at the tree...I looked at the clear path near the tree that I could use to continue without hitting the tree. I missed it by about 6 inches and yelped with joy at my success!!
