Posts: 212 Tavares, Fl | I changed oil in my Vision today. I started it without the oil dipstick in it and noticed a lot of air being blown out the dipstick hole. First time I have done this, is it normal??? Its a 12 with 9,000 miles.. |

Posts: 79 Louisville, KY | That air blowing out of the motor is completely normal. As your pistons move up and down the crank case breather allows air to move in and out of the crank case.
With the dipstick out the air goes in and out that hole as well as through the breather. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | The Freedom 106 runs at a very high pressure....I think over 50PSI. Most of the stories I hear about starting the starting the engine with the dipstick out have people describing how they had to clean oil off of the ceiling of the garage.
It should shoot oil eight to ten feet high running with out a dip stick.
