Funny, I had been thinking just last week about how nice a gold finish would look contrasting against the Cherry. |

Posts: 294 rhode island | thats no ordinary paint job, I beleive its a 3,500 dollar paint job. Along with a monster stereo and subwoofer.
plus a danny grey seat. airtrix did most of the customizing.

| Looks like someone had the same idea as I did. Had my painted about a month and a half ago when I bought it.

Obviously everyone has different taste so I am interjecting a little personal prejudice here; I like your paint scheme much better than the humbacked whale with tattoo look that Arlen Ness gave his signature Vision for 2009. Same basic colors but yours accentuates the flowing lines of the bicke while his makes it look bulbous. The Ness paint makes the bags almost look like Corbins they're so exagerated.
Was the choice of black and blue an homage to your checking account after the purchase?

Posts: 550 Tacoma, WA | peterjim, I like your choice of colors, and do not care for the Tom Arnold gold and maroon. I have always thought that a nice medium blue metallic would be a nice base for the Vision, tho....That with chrome trim would be spectacular.-----Metalguy |

| I saw this Vision at the IMS show in Long Beach, CA this year. It has a sub-woofer in the side bag. The finish job on the paint job is horrible. They might as well painted it with a paint brush.

They say in the article that the paint theme was derived from the Ironman movie. I liked the combination with the gold. |

Posts: 562 SC, Bluffton | Today, the bid was still just 15,000.00 When I got home, I had the wife check it out. She called a
phone number, and gave them our email & ebay name. I spoke to a lady and gave her credit
card information. She said we were now prequalified to bid. I told my wife I'd pay $20,500.00 for
it, so she put in 20,501.00 with less then 4 minutes left. Our hearts were pounding, and just like
that, we were outbid. I didn't want to go higher, but I couldn't deal with it just sitting there at
$16,501.00

Man, if thats true, I am glad we lost the bid. The Victory Rider Winter 2008 magazine had the
paint job listed as a $7,800.00 job by Airtrix Paint! All in all, the magazine had it listed at about
$39,319.00 with all the donated work.
It went for $24,655.55

do not care for the Tom Arnold gold and maroon.
It was supposed to be an Iron Man theme. Speaking of which, when we walked out of
the theater after seeing Iron Man on the big screen, my wife looked at the HID in the
front of the Vision and said "Hey look, the Vision gets its power just like the round
lighted thing in Iron Man's chest". |

| Very nice analogy to the 'black and blue' checking account. The paint did add an additional $3,000 for the blue as well as having some of the silver parts painted black. I can say it got huge attention on my recent trip from Minneapolis to Yellowstone then back through Sturgis. |
