I just got a spring first looks catalog in the mail from Victory.

Not a single Vision in the catalog. Is this the end???

Ride Safe

FYI,

I am fine and still ride my Vision every chance I get. I have changed my primary "commute to work vehicle" to a 29" mountain bike and have lost over 40 pounds in the process. So I am still riding to work but the engine really sucks.

Congrats on the weight loss.
Their website still shows the Vision. I am hoping they keep it around with just minor upgrades to make it that much better.
The Vision is such a nice looking/riding bike.

Yep, this omission stuck out to me like a sore thumb. It could mean the Vision is done or is up for a major face lift.

Why?

There's no mention of the Hammer. Jackpot, Boardwalk, Cross roads, or Judge either.

It's a "Spring First Look", not an all inclusive catalog.

The website shows the 2014 Vision in the same form we are used to.

I noticed that also b but I'm not reading that much into the omission of the Vision. Victory has never really liked to show all their cards at once so I'm sure the best is yet to come.

I guess it is too early to read the tea leaves. My Vision is staying in my garage...when not roaming the highway and byways of South Texas.

I am long over due for a Victory Group ride to Three Sisters and Spring is on the way....stay tuned!

The engine on that mountain bike will improve with use. Keep up the good work.

Almost as long as the "New Goldwing" rumor.

Victory has never really touted the Vision beyond it's own website that I can ever recall. I have a feeling that in the boardroom the Vision is a tongue in cheek topic. It seems to me that it was a way to introduce the cast frame that lead the way to the Cross-Dressers and now the Indian. I personally like the rarity and underdog status the Vision has. It has always been of my opinion that Victory will pull the plug on the Vision after a relatively short life. I think they think the Vision was replaced with the Cross-Dressors, they are just know it has a following and can't bring themselves to do it just yet. But then maybe 2015 could be the year...

Harley is coming out with a new Road Glide in 2015 (not producing the Road Glide in 2014).

Hopefully, Victory is redisning the Vision as well for 2015 and not leaving it's customer base in the lurch.

I've always thought that the entire luxury touring bike market is made up of niche markets. There aren't very many offerings in it. For a long time, it came down to the Goldwing or the Harley Ultra, with some "other alternatives" from Yamaha, Kawasaki, and--for a short time--Suzuki. BMW had, and has, the "luxury sport tourer" market covered, but that is a third category.

The Vision competes head-to-head with the Goldwing. The Goldwing will be with us in the future, and so will the Vision.

The Cross Country Tour competes head-to-head with Harley. Harley will be with us in the future and so will the Cross bikes.

They are two similar, yet different markets. Luxury Touring bike owners have specific traits and features and characteristics they look for, which used to send them in either the Honda direction, or the Harley direction. The Vision changed that and Victory will continue to be in both camps with the Vision and the Cross bikes.

Maybe my DREAM IS COMMING TRUE !!!! I have wished for 5 years that Victory would stop producing the VISION. Seriously ....
My SPCSHP is so goddamned beautiful - I don't ever want to see anyone else's .... I wish you would ALL scrap your VV's - seriously ....

But probably I'm not that lucky. Shit.

Don,

Your Vision is rare. Other then your own, a victory ride or a dealership how many have you seen on the road?

In seven years I have seen a Vision in the wild only five times.

The last time was in San Antonio about three weeks ago right after sunset at 410 and McCullough. They were 2-up and hit the on-ramp headed east on 410.

That was a great looking ride.....good thing I have one too.

RT

PS Is the triple post a Canadian Internet issue? Or is it something to do with the left over radioactivity?

If it weren't for the VV, I don't think I would own a Victory. I've ridden other bikes including the Gold Wing, but when I test rode the VV, I thought the air management was the best I had ever experienced. I also liked the looks. I'm not so keen on the other bikes in the inventory unless they decide to make a cruiser or a bagger with a short stroke V-Twin that will haul a$$ and handle like the Ducati Diavel.
