Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | The "Gunner" is the new bobber style bike for this year. I'm still disappointed there is nothing out about if there is going to be any changes to the Vision for next year. I guess Victory is planning on flooding the market with a bunch more models rather worry about the quality of its present lines. Get too many different bikes out and the quality starts to suffer which is already starting to happen.

| lol i hear you. just seems like last 4 years all new bikes offered to the same demographic. Sounds like another bolt on change to a existing bike. I sure am glad i love my vision and not in the market. But if Vic would produce or upgrade a top notch tourer id love to add to my stable. But i have now learned to not get excited about these unvails, let down for 4 years running now |

Posts: 880 Orlando, FL | I'm with ya Jeff. This is a Bobber? What an amazing disappointment. Creating the Gunner must have taken all of 5 minutes creative thought. Let's see, take a Highball, change the bars, add some paint, some boring rims and OMG, it's a Bobber! Yea, not realy. Actually, not at all. Another disaster with this one. |

So when is the ground-up Vision makeover? Oh yea that's right, Victory shot their wad for innovation back in 2008... |

Keeps the traditional Victory lines, smaller fenders, smooth cohesiveness with front/middle/rear of bike, exhaust look that is present but not overwhelming. Nice rims and large front tire. Really like the bars.
I say good job!

No offense to anyone, but I never Loved `The Judge` because the center part of the bike looks out of place to me, and the `Boardwalk` rear fender is too big.

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Looks good, Not for me though, if I want a middleweight standard powered by a V-twin I heading to KTM for the 1290 Super Duke. This Gunner is just a variation of several models Victory already offers. What we need is a new engine. don't get me wrong the 106 Freedom has been a great engine but it's time for a upgrade. Hell Harley's new/old TC 110 watecooled engine now makes 88.9 HP that's more than our 106's. Yeah I know it's basicly a stage 1 from a year ago except with the water cooled heads, BUT they passed EPA with a bigger cam and a extra half point of compression. How they got away with the open aircleaner I don't know. But they did........... |

| XR, the 89 HP is brochure numbers. The 110 TC 2014 has been consistently putting rear wheel dyno number in the 79-83 range and tq numbers 95-98. For the 30k sticker price ill keep my 106, spend 1500.00 with KevinX, have 5 grand left over and run circles around the 110". Just keeping it apples to apples, brochure numbers are a fairy tail. |

Posts: 119 CASTRO VALLEY, CA United States | It's basically factory customization to appeal to as many riders as possible, and probably more so to riders who don't already own a Victory. Someone looking at bobbers or an entry level cruiser may see this as a great choice. Most of the negative critiques here are from Victory owners, but look at it from a perspective of someone who don't own a Victory. Looks like a better value than an HD Sporty. 1731 vs 1200. Remember Ride One and You'll Own One! |

Jeff, nope those numbers came off Cycle World's dyno according to the March 2014 issue page 15 in the side bar. Exact numbers were 88.9 HP and 105.5 ft lbs. Don't get me wrong, Harleys TC even watercooled is not near the engine our 4 valve SOHC Freemdom engine is, but it may be time to enlarge or wring another 10 HP (stock) out of the Victory engines. I know about Lloyds products I have all the stuff to get 115.5 HP out of my '08, but I was talking about stock vs. stock.............. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Given the fact that Indian took many of the original engineers from Victory, it makes sad sense that Victory hasn't come out with a truly new platform in the last couple years. Several years back they announced they'd be introducing a new model every 6 months, it made practical sense that it would be a new "flavor" for an existing platform. A new platform every 6 months would be impossible given their engineering resources and the fact that Polaris operates as a very lean company. New platforms at Victory typically take years of development and testing.
My hope is that since its been a few years since the latest new Victory platform ?The Judge( or was it the Boardwalk? The lines are getting blurred) ? I'm hoping they come up with a new platform & direction around the time of Sturgis, traditionally their big debut venue. |

Well then, I guess YOU have to settle for what is offered to you. I will not. I would like to see something different. And unique. Like a comeback of the choppers.
And for your own edification; EVERYTHING is about me.

Posts: 30 Warrenton, VA | Unfortunately, the Gunner does not bring anything new to the styling department when you look at the rest of Victory's cruiser line and for me I was hoping that they would grow "a set" again like they did with the Vision and push more towards something like a Conquest Customs bobber look. The Gunner is the Judge meets a highball without the Highball handlebars.
I understand they are in a very competitive motorcycle business but for me when you think "bobber" the Highball fits that better than the Gunner. You cannot argue with Victory's engine, HP and torque. Polaris with the Indian line, you can tell they did their homework and paying homage to the Indian styling heritage but with modern technology. They should have done the same for a "Bobber". Do a Google search for Bobber motorcycles and then look at the Gunner and ask yourself are they close? For me, No...
Hell, do a search for Honda Shadow Bobber kits and those are closer to the Bobber look than the Gunner. I think they have watered down the Vic cruiser line in the styling department but opinions are like....... and I threw mine into the ring.
You know there are folks at Vic HQ that know what a bobber should look like but the Gunner was a business decision. I wish the design guys could win every now and then
