Posts: 28 Mesa, AZ United States | I have an 08 vision. Would like to put one in, preferably a hand held one that mounts to the handlebars but I haven't a clue where I would attach a firestick antenna. Anyone have any ideas about where you put the antenna. |

Since the Vision is plastic bodied, there is no ground plane. A regular FireStik antenna won't work, but Firestik does make an NGP antenna.

Speaking from experience, don't waste any time trying to get a factory unit for the 08, you will get zero support from Ma Vic. |

If you have a trunk and a luggage rack, you could mount an antenna to the rack.

Posts: 28 Mesa, AZ United States | Thanks for the replies guys. I just went down to Firestick in Phoenix today and purschased a no ground plane 3' antennna that I am going to mount tomorrow. (Incidentally, Rick at Firestick was very, very helpful. Those guys are nice people and are a pleasure to deal with.) Will find out how well it works when my cb radio arrives in the next few days hopefully. Bought a Midland handheld that I had mounted on a Kawasaki 2000 last year but it had a grounded firestick. We shall see. |
