| Again! The dealer put on a new one before we left for our vacation Sept 4th. I just got back yesterday and after cleaning things up the POS fender is cracked AGAIN! Its got the traditional crack from the l/s bolt. The r/s isn't cracked yet. I put 11K miles on it during the trip but I have no idea when it cracked since I couldn't really see it that well. This is my 4th fender and the second once on the '13. Damn it! Already emailed the dealer. Now to hit Facebook.

Posts: 965 New York State | You must report the Fender cracks to the National Safety board.MaVic has determined it to be normal wear and tear. The only thing that will force a recall is the Feds.
Until then all Vision Pilots must remain vigilant a failed fender could cost you your life |

Are the tubes flexing, or is it just from vibration? |

The front rear fender section of the Vision starts off as a flexible plastic over time it becomes rigid and brittle.
I doubt a fork brace would stop the plastic from degrading over time |

The rear section of the front fender is unpainted black plastic on all Visions |

| Just heard back from Vic on Facebook that they will have Wes call me again. The dealer isn't open till Tuesday so we'll see what he has to say. As for the material being brittle, it doesn't seem so. It feels pretty soft and pliable if that means anything. I can't imagine something isn't going on in Polaris now to rectify this. There's now too many of them and too many repeat performances. This won't get by them. They'll fix it at some point because they have to. They can't keep on replacing them over and over till somebody gets themselves hurt. I'll let you know what Wes has to say.

| I know it sucks, but I added a 5" metal bracket with 3 drilled holes, jb welded the old cracks and also around the new holes to house 2 new bolts. Painted them black and can't notice them. Also used some rubber washers. My fender was bay cracked after 20k. 57k since my fix no issues. For all our own safety u may have to tackle this on your own. I agree victory is not handling this well, but at some point we have to keep ourselves safe. |

Fortunately, I still have my "brittle" original 2008 fender with 46k miles on her. She's stored indoors except on trips and ridden in all seasons except when there is snow on the roads. I ain't skeered, just a little more cautious than I once was, lol. I think there has to be something else contributing to this, don't know what but MaVic needs to figure this shit out before someone gets killed |

| left side of mine cracked at mounting hole.
Found bolt was not tight. Ride side was.
Glued it to gather and add fender washer to bolt.
That was two years ago never had problem since |

| I've done cursory checks and never noticed any cracking. At 45k on the odo now, and with all of this anecdotal evidence, I should be pro-active and look into reinforcing mine. The flat bracket looks effective, think I'll go that route.

Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | Something that might be an indication of a cracked fender that isn't obvious on inspection.
For quite a while I had been hearing a light click/knock sound coming from the front wheel area. It was most noticeable when I would jockey the bike around in the driveway and use the front brake while moving forward (moving slow and light braking). Under warranty the dealer replaced some mounting parts on the front rotor but that didn't correct the problem and we never identified what was making it. Since I've repaired the cracked fender the noise is gone.
