Hey guys just wanted to give a review of my new Russell seat... I give it an A- because an A+ means perfection.... First my complaints of the stock Vision seat was my ischium bones (small bones on the bottom of the pelvis) would kill me after 200 or so miles and the pain wouldn't go away till I got off the seat. I then tried the air hawk seat pad which helped a tiny bit, but not worth the price in my opinion, also tried a gel pad from cycle gear and a medical pad made for wheel chairs. Then I bought the 8ball seat which is a huge improvement, got me to around 500 miles, but still wanted more comfort....Finally dropped the $750 for the Russell seat, everything was a smoothe transaction. They take their time with you on the phone and answer all your questions.

The seat takes a little getting used to as those wings offer crazy support, but you realize quickly how important those things are. If your short, you will have to shift to the nose of the seat everytime you come to a stop. That sounds like a deal breaker to some, but I believe the comfort is worth it. I have a 34 inseam and cannot reach the ground flat footed anymore unless I shift forward some or lean a little and put 1 foot all the way down. The custom seat will raise you 1-2 inches. At first I was wishing I had the 8ball seat modified, but I wanted to keep the heat. I'm very used to it , and put about 5,000 on it in a short amount of time. I also was forced to modify my Eutopia backrest a little, as I felt a little off of my old riding position. I also went with a 7 JuRock windshied with the flip because of being up a little higher.

They say you need to put a 1,000 miles on the seat to break it in, I can't say I noticed much difference. It just took some seat time to get used to it is all. The seat cured my problem 99.9% I came home from Yellowstone 3 weeks ago and covered 1,538 miles in 34 hours, my longest ride on the Vision so far. I still move my feet from floorboards to pegs and whatever else , but more from habit as I had NO complaints about my ass. Hope this info helps someone out...

Saw they have a 15% off deal the next few days and called tonight but they were already gone. Thanks for the review!

It looks like an awesome seat but I'm short and poor. My stock seat is good enough for now except that it is coming apart at the seam. Thank you for your review. If I ever got one , I would have to do the 2" lowering kit to compensate for extra seat height (30" inseam)

I have appx 1000+ miles on my Russell saddle. I absolutely love it!!! If you take a look at their site, it states that you will have to shift forward when coming to a stop. I'm 5'6" and in the forward position I have both feet flat on the ground with a 29" inseam. Shifting positions came natural to me ever since i took the Ride Like a Pro course.

With the original seat the bottom of my butt would be sore in 30 minutes. With the new seat I haven't experienced any discomfort. Rode for 6 hours today with some friends - round trip CT to VT
