I traded my 06 Hammer in for a 13 Vision. I have been saving for 10 months, so with the trade, I was able to buy my vision without a loan. First impression, was the balance, the handling, and comfort. What I don't like is the excessive heat off the exhaust.

congrats..you are going to love the Vision. Do you have lower deflectors? If not, get them! There are a number of threads on the lowers

I have to echo what Street Eagle said, get the lower deflectors. On my test ride that was my biggest gripe, but the lowers allow you to funnel air in toward your legs or take advantage of that heat when its cold out.

Lowers for sure... as gr8punkin said, you may curse the heat now, but with the lowers, you'll be loving that heat when the cold weather hits.
Nice looking bike, welcome to the most comfortable bike on the road... I may be a bit bias.

Thanks, I plan on adding the lower deflectors and I only feel the heat when my leg is fully extended. But I am very happy with my new ride!

Never did add the lowers. The heat goes away after she breaks in. Don't like the looks of the lowers.

Congrats.

+1 on the lowers. You can get the heat away from your body with them.

Congratulations. That is the best color in my opinion. I got the lowers and never put them on. Never felt they were really needed. Need to sell them. They were never opened and just sitting in my basement. Little riding time left here in Michigan. Luckily it was nice today. Ride 'me while you can.

I take it you already have the bike in storage or are close to it. Those lowers would extend your riding season at least 2 weeks on each end of winter. Look at what they cost and what your bike cost, even if you bought it used. How many weeks of riding do you get and what percentage do you gain by adding a total of 4 weeks per year? Are they really not worth having? Sell them on if you want but I think you are missing a bet.

I usually ride to the end of November here in Michigan. Start riding in late March or early April. I just haven't felt I needed them (at least not yet).

Congrats on the new ride. You will definitely enjoy it. Wife and I just did a 1700 mile trip from Northern California to Lake Havasu, AZ with stops in Southern California, Pacific Coast Highway and Oatman and Kingman along route 66. Our 2010 (Rosie) rode without a problem. 7 days on the road and it was great. Enjoy your new ride. Below is us on RT 66 and with the owner of the Rock-Store on Mullholland Hwy. (really cool places to see)

Congrats on the new Vision,, but now you are cursed! You'll never be able to ride another motorcycle comfortably again! Just turned 54 k on mine and love every minute of it.... hate to say it but as a suggestion Im running Amsoil and getting about 12-15 degrees cooler running on mine,, check out Lloyds and Rylan and the stuff they can do for you.. good luck ...

I don't believing in putting the bike in storage, if it's dry out, layer up and go riding. I might even splurge and get some heated clothing.
