Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | If any member has a set of CFR's ( In good shape ) they dont want, let me know I'll either buy them out right or a possible trade with some boot on my end. I have a set of S1L2's with 500 miles on them and they are back in the boxes and I also have a set of Thunderheaders with about 1500 miles on them......Thank you for any responses............steve |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | I guess I should explain on the sound. The Thunderheaders are quite a bit louder than the S1L2's and just a little bit louder than the CFR's. That being said, the S1L2's are not much louder than stock pipes at idle but do sound off a little when the gas is being put to it. For stereo lovers the S1L2's are a good pipe........... |

| XRsteve... you are right in looking for the CFR' they are a great performance muffler without the irritating, thunderous, booming, noise. I've got 11,000 miles on mine and don't plan on changing any time soon. |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | I hope Cary does make some more. I have had more people ask me about mine everywhere I go. I hated to tell them that he wasn't making them anymore. Now it looks like he is going to make me out to be a liar! Just when I thought I was going to be one of the only few out there. LOL! |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Some Harley friends told me that my 08' with the CFR's is the best sounding bike ever made............. I like the Thundersticks on my 13' but they just don't have that giant rumble that the CFR's do......... |

Posts: 880 Orlando, FL | Love my CFR's and good to hear Carey is going to make more. And while $637 seems about right, I'm glad I got mine when he stopped making them and was blowing them out the door. Hope you get a set soon Steve. |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | I must be getting old, but I just got back from Daytona for Biketoberfest and man my Thundersticks drove me crazy on thre highway, at 80 mph they were just too loud, I could barely hear the stereo ( of course the 13' stereos aren't loud enough anyway ), Hell I might even put my S1L2's back on the 2013 till I can get some CFR's made....... |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | What do you guys think a fair price for the Thundersticks would be ?? They have about 2000 miles on them. Not perfect but in excellent shape. Think $375.00+ actual shipping is a fair price ?? They list for $576.00 plus tax and shipping from Lloydz. They aren't for everyone, they are pretty loud..............Also is Ebay an OK place to sell parts, never used it as a seller.

The videos never really due them justice. I've had S1L2's and Thundersticks on my other Vision. The S1L2's don't even come close and the Thundersticks are excellent but not as low and booming. The CFR's sound like a 50 flathead Ford at idle. A Harley guy I know that has a 110HP 107inch RoadGlide says "That's the best sounding bike ever made" And he works at a private motorcycle shop that primarily works on Harleys......................
