northwest florida | anyone done a conversion to dual HID's on their bike? DDM has a kit which looks promising.

Pittsburgh, PA | That would be interesting. i know personal i have issue at night when i ride my vision. one of out like 10-15 cars flash me their high beams when i have my low beams and HID light on.. i had the dealer check to make sure the angle of the bulbs is correct and they took it into their garage and checked. i can imagine the issues i would have with DUAL HIDS ... i might even get stopped by the cops where i live.. =( |

Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | Yep-I've had their dual 55W H-4 Hi/Lo 5000K kit in for quite a while (I'd have to check my maintenance log to be exact) very happy with them. I just keep my HID cyclops in reserve in case something was to go out-you can't even tell when you turn the cyclops on at night the duals just wash it out. there's a thread here somewhere that shows where I mounted the ballasts and Hi/Low relays-it's a straight forward install, everything just plugs in and then needs to be sorted & secured. There's a very distinct cut off line that the beam patern has, there's a horizontal line that can be adjusted with the wheel to match the headlight height as normal- everything else is below that line and it's bright as hell-I've never been flashed at night- Go for it-Brian

Willmar, MN | I went with the DDM tuning also. 55W H-4 hi/lo 5000K kit. I couldn't be happier with it. It DOES light up the night. I can even see the reflection on signs during the day. I have not been flashed. The headlight does have to come out but it only took maybe 45 minutes longer than just changing the bulbs to mount the ballasts and run the wires. Great kit, plug and play. |

Rancho Cucamonga, CA | If you like to listen to your radio, the HIDs do cause a lot of interference. Also, HIDs are not DOT approved and your bike may not pass a state inpection if you live in a state that does that (Florida does not) .

Grand Cane, LA | I've had my DDM kit now for 3 years. The only thing to watch out for is where you put the ground wire. I put mine on one of the bolts that are on the spar piece behind the lights and apparenly it got a little corrosion between the terminal and the frame and my lights would work intermittedly. Cleaned it up and put electrical grease at the contact point and haven't had a problem since. Couldn't ask for better lighting for night riding. |

| Just installed the kits in my bike. Went for a ride to check the aiming of the lights and these lights are VERY bright. I got the 55 watt with the 4500k bulbs and they are very close to the same color as the driving light.
