XRSteve suggested a front fender poll be taken.

This one is specific to the Vision year models to see if there is any correlation to fender problems and year models.

Please limit your responses to ACTUAL experiences, and not emotional "well, somebody else's did, so I'm thinking mine might and I'll vote that way. We need real data.

Thanks rdbudd for creating this poll: I have two visions and one has 31,000 miles ( 2008 ) and one has 3500 miles ( 2013 ) no problems yet. I check them before every ride now with an ultra bright LED flashlight. Still worries me and makes me mad at the same time.

Flashlight is not going to help. Forks hide the cracks, you have to look with the wheel off.
Since the fender has not changed any from year to year or model to model, I don't think it will make a difference. I've already had a replacement fender break as well.

This is my 2nd rear fender replacement, it didn't last a year,I fabricated it on the inside with JB weld and a washer and glassed it with mat ,on the outside I used JB weld on the spider cracks,it's ok so far. at $90 for a replacement, they can kiss my ass

I would like to add into the poll the following questions: do you have driving lights mounted onto the fork lowers ?(Victory PIAA or others). Do you use Armour All or other such cleaning products on your plastic?
My 2009 has no issues.

I have wondered about the driving lights myself. The Clearwaters I have mount to the front-front fender bolts. They came with step washers that take the weight off the fender and onto the fork. The downside is that it gives the fender a little play. This could easily mean the rear-front fender is taking more load.

You can add those kinds of options to the other poll if you like. It's open for additions.

This one is just to see if there is any year model correlation that could be related to such things as a supplier or material change for the fenders. Maybe there is--Maybe there isn't. We'll see.

I have a 2008 vision ,the first fender broke and jammed in the fairing going onto an on ramp luckily I was able to get to side of the road ,I bought the 2nd fender and that started to crack within a year. the bolts were torqued to speck and I dont have driving lights mounted ,the plastic they are made of isn't the right compound it breaks.victory should step up here its only a matter of time before a rider gets injured

Thanks for starting this poll.

My Vision is completely stock with the sole exception of a heel-toe shifter.

My fender broke at the mounting points on the struts and jammed itself inside the lower maw of the fairing making steering impossible.
This is a safety issue that Victory must address.

I was 300 miles away from home when it happened on my way to see my daughter graduate from Med School.
A local Victory Dealers kept a mechanic after hours to assist me in rigging it good enough to complete the 4,700 mile trip.

For those that don't know, Victory will pay for or reimburse you for the fender replacement.
You can go through your dealership or many of us have gone through Victory's FaceBook page.
It helps if you have your receipt and your defective fender.

Up until a week ago, Victory big shots hadn't heard of the problem, or at least they claim they haven't.

Thanks again for starting this well thought out poll.
