Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | XRSteve suggested a poll concerning the front fender problems some Vision owners have been experiencing.
I didn't think of it until after I posted the poll, but I would suggest you add the year model and either problem or no problem to the options list. There are only 11 options allowed , so we need 2008 and 2009, 2010 and 2011, 2012 and 2013 options filled in. Those three groups with two options each make 6 more options.
I can't edit the poll options myself.

| why not go to facebook and start ( victory vision ) fender broken Victory denied fixing it.
set it up so people can add there year and name.
That way victory can go there every day and see all the people.
Victory is not coming here to see names where as facebook every body can see and you know Victory does not want bad press

Too soon to make any conclusions. The poll has been up just under 11 hours at the time of this post (and less than four hours at the time of your post), and the "no problems" are 60% to 40% reporting problems at this time. It will likely change as time goes on. Give it at least a week and a weekend for people to respond. A trend should emerge.
We don't want to do like some news agencies do with Presidential elections, and try to influence the voting of the later voting districts by commenting on the early returns.
We want real world numbers that can be presented to Victory. They are aware of this website.

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Sorry Lennyb, once you've voted it can't be changed, however, the way the poll was set up, you can vote again and choose a different option. |

Yep. Of course your "No" and "Yes" votes will nullify each other. You can add a new "Yes" type option, which would swing the overall percentages to the "Yes" side.
I left the options open precisely for this reason, in case someone wanted to change their vote.

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Although not as many as I thought answered yes to fender problems it is still significant. I bet less than 20% of Toyota Prius cars had problems and they were ALL recalled as I remember......... |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | After 10 days, approximately 30% of respondents report some type of problem with their front fender. This percentage holds for both polls, including the one that is year model specific.
Other posts in other threads indicate that Victory is dealing with this at the dealer level.

Posts: 1066 Peru, IN | "Dealing with this at the dealer level" isn't really dealing with it. It's simply replacing a defective part for another defective part. If doors fell off your truck every year or two, it would be a pretty unsatisfactory response to just get new doors every time, wouldn't it? The manufacturer would be "dealing with it" but nobody would accept that. Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota would go out of business in no time. I think the fact that Victory is relatively unknown makes it possible for them to get away with this. People don't know about this on a nationwide or worldwide scale, therefore Victory/Polaris thinks they can sweep it under the rug. If they tell the dealers to replace the fender, they can respond to the few "stories" that get out to the public by stating that they did the "right thing" by replacing the defective part. Since 99% of the public has no idea how widespread this is and how potentially deadly this can be, they think, "it's just a fender and Victory fixed it...good for them". |

My point was that Victory is dealing with the problem at the dealer level, and therefore they are aware of the problem. Victory has a good history of learning from their mistakes and improving their product. I say this, having been a continuous Victory owner since early Spring 2000. In my experience, Victory learns and improves the product. I believe that Victory will take steps to eliminate the problem, once it becomes apparent there is one. They learn of any problems through their dealers.
I don't think bitching about it on Facebook or anywhere else online will get you anywhere, except to help devalue the trade-in value of your bike.
