Fuel Mileage

bigd2013vv Posted 2013-08-31 7:30 PM (#143907) Subject: Fuel Mileage Puddle Jumper Posts: 28 Hendersonville, NC Ok I was wondering what everyone gets mileage wise on a tank of fuel, my computations are not computing right, 6 gallon tank at 40 mpg = 240 miles. I was averaging all day 45 - 46 mpg but fuel light came on at 172 miles according to trip meter and it was reset when I fueled up. does it get better with time , do I possibly have something wrong. You have to fill the tank slowly for the first 2 gallons to get the left tank to be full when done. I have about 2300 miles on my 2013 VV. According to the computer I am getting 44 mpg. I can go well over 200 miles on a full tank. When I fill up completely, the computer tells me I have 240 to 255 miles to empty. It sound like your not getting the tanks full.
