Fountain Inn, SC United States | If you haven't been to Lloydz.com or didn't get to the AVR, you might not know that Lloyd Greer (Lloydz) and his crew have helped buid a bike with the help of High School kids that will be aiming for 200mph at Bonneville Salty Flats this week.
The group, known at The Pine Bush Horsepower Academy, is comprised of at-risk kids that were brought together with Lloyd to teach them ways to cope with challenges and work together to a greater goal. The bike will be piloted by Laura Klock, no stranger to racing on the Flats, who also the founder of the Helping with Horsepower organization.
You can follow the building of the bike on the www.BikeStarz.org website and also the kids' ongoing Blog of their adventure on the Flats.
I'd like to wish them a safe, fun, exciting trip and hope the bike wins the 200mph goal. But really, these kids have already won!

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Keep us posted. Very hard to do 200mph on the salt in MPS/ BG2000 with a twin. For you no speak land speed racing people. That is Modified Partial Streamlined / Blown Gasoline 2000cc limit. |

Latest word from Bonneville:
Bike went 143 and broke a world record! Now she's at the starting line again to have another run!!!
I remember Lloyd mentioning they plan to run in several classes by making changes to the bike (i.e., adding NOS).
Go Boys Go!!! |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | From Mrs. Lloyd late last night at Bonneville:
All went well today! Speeds are about 40mph lower than expected due to bike handling issues. Making some drastic changes tomorrow and praying for the best! Regardless of any records this has been a truly awesome experience!! Will keep u all posted! Thank u for all the support! We are feeling the love!

Fountain Inn, SC United States | The last I got from Bonneville was that Brian Klock rode the Pine Bush bike to 172mph and Lloyd's tech Trevor rode their own black bike (100ci, supercharged, 205hp) to 156mph. Both have unofficially set AMA records (in different classes) on the Salt. Official word will come in the mail in a few weeks. |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Now people might understand how hard it is to go 200MPH at Bonneville. Limited traction, good or bad salt conditions and the fact the field elevation air density is sometimes 5000 Ft or higher........ A engine that makes 200HP at sea level makes around 155HP at Bonneville given these conditions: Air density 5000, temp 90F, baro 29.92 and dew point 80F. hard place out there........... |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Just read on the BUB site : The Lloydz bike ( Helping with Horsepower ) with Laura Klock riding set a new record in the 2000-MPS-BG class @ 168.081 mph. I do not know what the former record was. |
