I own a K1200LT and was looking at a Gold Wing as my next bike, partly because they can be had new a $3,000+ off MSRP with much cheaper parts, extended warranties and service.

I am also interested in the Vision. How much do Victory dealers come off the MSRP? It sounds as if parts are higher because of lack of volume. Service is unknown.

The Harley dealer said they would give $3000 off list on a touring model with my firefighter ID. Not sure if I hade to get the FF edition. I still went with the Vision. My Victory dealer gave me a $6000 for my 2006 V-Star 1100 with 27,000 miles on it. Even though I had $2500 in accessories on it, I thought that was a good deal considering the mileage. They than took $1000 off MSRP to make the deal work. The only down side is that I didn't' get the 6.99% interest rate. I'll just refinance with my bank next year. After riding the Vision for six weeks I have no regrets, even if I had paided full price for the ViVi.
I also don't think HD parts are cheap, but there is a large aftermarket selection compared to the Victory.

Visions can be had for $1500 to $3000 off MSRP, depending on the dealer. I bought my Tour Premium as a very low milage demo (full factory warranty, never before titled) for $18500 out the door. Adding the CB/Intercom brought the total to $19324. The best deal I could come up with on a new 2008 Goldwing equipped the same way as the Vision was $20432. The Goldwing did have the Honda GPS included for that price, which I don't need. If I ever feel the need for GPS, I can add an integrated GPS to the Vision for about $300. The dealer I use was offering $1500 off MSRP on any Vision right off the bat.
