I just went on the Witchdoctor website to buy a passenger seat back and was disappointed to find that they are out of stock. Does anyone know if ther is another company that makes/distribites these?

I thought the same thing, but then I sent an email inquiring when they might be in stock and received a prompt response that if I ordered one it would be made and shipped on demand. From a business point of view I'm not sure "out of stock" is the best way to communicate this as I think it may result in lost sales for the vendor, but I think if you email them or just order one the response will be positive. I have ordered one, but can't comment on it yet because it hasn't arrived. My potential passengers and I are looking forward to it's installation, however.

Sounds like they are going to a "just in time" inventory model. Cuts the inventory turns to zero

JIT is fine for manufacturing, even ideal. but not so great for retail!

I was okay with the JIT model, but I was a little concerned for Witchdoctor that he might be sending people away who would have purchased a backrest by having the "out of stock" message on his website. A message that conveyed the JIT model might be better. Maybe something like "Built to Order". Just a suggestion from a consumer/business guy.
