Posts: 155 Stockton, California | Just got the "Darlas" from Clearwater lights. These LED lights are like flame throwers. They really light your path, can be seen from quite a distance and use very little power.

Posts: 691 Manchester, CT | The DARLAs are $499 and they are worth every penny. Each light produces over 2000 lumens and turn night into day. I've been riding with them for 5000 miles. Cagers see you coming and many of them flash their high beams at you until you flash them back. My DARLAs go full bright (strobe speed) when I turn on the OEM high beams. I also configured my lights to go full bright when i hit the screaming banshee air horn. |

| Hey Tom,
I've been watching the Clearwater's for some time now, and I agree they are a terrific add-on to increase your visibility. The HD-LED's are the way to go. I've been holding back as I have heard that the Clearwater's affect the radio with static. Have you noticed any negative change in your radio/MP3 functions with the Clearwater's, and did you install any type of resistor to mitigate the static??
thanks,

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | When i first got my 2008 vision i actually got pulled over by the police in fayette county Pa. I was riding at night and i didnt have my High beams on.. but i DID have the HID light on.. I shown the officer that my lights were indeed O.E.M. and of course "allowed"to be sold on the bike and when i shown him what it could have been like if i had my high beams on, he know i wasn't riding and Blinding him with high beams.. Alot of the time, 9/10 i get people who flash me their high beams if i use the H.I.D. at light.. i cant imagine if i ADDED more light... maybe i was lucky i was stock when i got pulled over... |

Posts: 28 Ft Worth Texas | I'm running these model 60s on my front fork tubes, so the light shines around the corner. After using these you will wonder if your stock headlamp even works. I purchased 2 model 60 led lights (3600 lumens per light) and a wireless remote control...$265.00 shipped. They have a rotary knob that might be a better choice if I were to do this again, that way at night you can turn the lights down on the fly when approaching traffic. I run 100% in the day time and maybe 10-20% at night, but when I hit my hi beams at night they come on at 100%. I have my right light angled off to the side to light up the shoulders to spot animals as I ride Texas backroads at night. The website said these lights would last 4 years straight without turning them off....hope my Vision can keep up |

No, I haven't experienced any degradation in radio/mp3 performance.

Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | Anyone consider mounting a set using the upper air deflector mounting location? I have the PIAAs already but a set of Clearwaters mounted higher could sure help with lighting up those darn deer. |

I think there was a post in the past regarding the clearwaters where a discount is offered if you buy in bulk. Is that still the case? If so, please count me in if anyone out there is thinking about doing a bulk purchase to save some money. I am sold on the clearwaters from my BMW days. Let me know since I am ready to pull the trigger on these today.. Thanks, Vlad. |
