Iron Butt
Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | When I attended my nephews graduation from the Coast Guard Academy I spent some time in their gift shop where I found the Seirus gloves. They were advertised as being waterproof and breathable. There is a friction pad across the palm which goes up the underside of the thumb and forefinger. They are made of polyester and nylon with spandex with a stretch cuff. For a glove to use in the rain they look good, feel good and the price ($25 to $30) they seemed to fit a need I've been trying to find a good solution for. I walked out with one regular and a second insulated pair.
After spending about 45 minutes riding in a moderate rain yesterday I can report that there is nothing waterproof about these gloves. Actually about 20 minutes into the ride they morphed into a sponge. This morning they are still wet. Don't waste your money. |
