Posts: 10 New Baden Illinois | How do i start my 08 Jackpot after i ran it outta gas.....I knew it would be close but guessed wrong. After work was going to head straight to the gas station and i started the bike while on teh kickstand. it ran for about 30 seconds and died. Sat it up straight and would still not start ....put 2 gallons in and still nothing. I did try to cycle the run start switch 4 or 5 times to prime it .....
Any suggestions |

| may be you burned up fuel pump. Do a pressure check on pump should be no less then 45 psi. |

Posts: 324 New Orleans, La, | Can you hear the pump priming? The fuel pump is cooled by the fuel it is immersed in and when run low or out of fuel the fuel pump gets hot and is prone to failure. Check the schrader valve on the fuel rail, it looks like the air valve on the wheels, press the core stem and if no gas comes out the pump may have failed or, and this is rare, the filter is restricted. |

Posts: 10 New Baden Illinois | @ V92SC Yes ....I
can hear the pump running when put into the run position. Also i disconnected the QD fuel line at the "y" fitting just before the injectors to see if the pump was putting fuel out ....nothing came out when fuel pump was running.
Did notice that the Battery voltage was low (11 VDC) from failed start atempts. Its on the charger now, will try it again in the A.M. |

Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | You have to turn on the bike, bump the starter, wait about 10 seconds, bump the starter again, repeat several times. Cycleing the kill switch on an 08 and up will not engage the pump every time. It has to go through a complete opening and shut down before it will restart the pump. Bumping the starter |

Ok First of all Thanks to all for the posts .....I did get it running ...heres the fix
I removed the tank and flipped it over, used a syringe to force fuel into the tank from the bottom where the hose comes out to the injectors. Installed the tank and it fired up the first time ....again thanks all for the responses |
