Posts: 249 Phenix City AL. | Can A radio cover from a 2012 fit on a 09 ? I am talking about the part that covers the radio, I want a gloss black one, but do not want to keep my vision apart while its getting painted, I might as well buy a black one , they are only $123.00, but the part numbers or 09 and 12 are different , plus the black one from 09 is not the gloss black and they want $192.00 for it. Or.... does any one have a radio cover I can use while mine is in the paint shop? I am also looking for some speaker covers to paint gloss black also. |

Are you talking about the console cover? If yes, the difference may be the whole for the auxiliary power plug aka cigarette lighter. I'm not sure if the 12 had this port but my 2013 doesn't. |

Posts: 249 Phenix City AL. | yes the console cover, I attempted the wrap but I could not make it look good, I painted it with plasticoat, looks ok ,developed rub marks from my helmet sitting on it, plus I am going for the all gloss black look, speaker covers, insterment bezel, and maybe the dash itself. |

Posts: 215 W'ford Tx | if your vision has the aluminum accessory pieces you can always powder coat them. It doesn't help with the speaker grills but you could get all the pieces done in gloss black. What I didn't replace with chrome I painted super steel gray (my bikes color) with polaris paint. If you're looking to get it done in gloss black it shouldn't take all that long. In the long run you'd probably break even if you bought the supplies (paint gun, paint etc) yourself and painted all the pieces you wanted done. Plus there's always that self satisfaction. |
