| Just had a pair of used tailgunner tips put on along with S1 L1 pipes. The tips are a little dirty. Anyone have any tips on cleaning these things? |

Posts: 173 Prescott Valley, AZ | I have found that since I install the Tail Gunner Tips they tend to get quite black when I'm just riding back and forth to work (14 miles round trip). If you keep after them they are not too difficult to keep clean. I use a standard chrome cleaner and it does alright on the outer edges but does not get into the holes very well. I also have noticed that if I'm out riding the highways on longer rides the tips do not get nearly as black as when I'm back and forth to work. Hope this helps.

Chrome polish as posted above works great too.
Anything that has oxidation remover in it seems to cut through the black stuff on the tips.
There's about 4,000 miles on my tailgunner tips.

Just about any automotive product that cleans chrome on a terry towel rag, and elbow grease.......unless you can get someone else to clean them |
