| Ok I will admit I am a dummy, tried to remove my trunk from the CCT today for the first time and everything works great except... I can't get the electrical plug through the small space between the saddlebag bracket/fender & seat.. I turned it as many different ways as I could and it still would not easily come through the space so I could separate the trunk from the bike. What am I missing?

| My limited experience is that you have to remove the seat. I'd like to know if there's an easier way as well. |

| If I remember from when I did mine, Squeeze the plastic loom that is over the wires and slide it through the should fit through ok. No need to remove the seat. |

I believe the issue is the size of the plug. |

| I think I am going to back to the dealership and have the salesman take the trunk off the floor model for me since he said it was a snap. |

| pfhague had it right. I looked at mine while cleaning it this morning and saw that the harness was routed between the fender and saddlebag bracket, behind the forward standoff. I managed to get the harness out by removing the saddlebag attaching clip. I then rerouted the harness forward of the standoff. With the side panel removed, the seat will flex enough to slide the harness between it and the chrome bracket. I'll try to post a picture if needed. |

| No need to remove seat or anything else. All you have to do is slide the wire loom between seat seat and the bracket. |
