My 2008 Vision finally decided to hit my wallet a lick today, after over 74,000 miles.

My fourth gear went out. Completely. All my other gears work, but when I shift to 4th, from either direction, it is like I have a second Neutral. It just freewheels. Fortunately, I can still shift through it to 3rd or 5th.

Naturally, I was about 500 miles from my dealer when it happened, but I was just minutes away from Victory of Louisville (Kentucky). They checked it out and said they had never heard of this happening and have no idea what could make it do that. They even called Ma Vic about it. The Vic rep had never heard of it happening, either. And neither had my dealer when I called him.

So it's gonna be expensive. I'm probably going to have to replace the tranny completely. So I'm  going to be about three grand in the pain department. At least they are going to put a rush on it and get me going as soon as they can.

I'll post later when I find out what the problem was.

Cams already done. I still love this bike, though. It's one of the very first ones delivered.

Thanks; I've not talked to anyone who had heard of this happening. Could be because I do a lot of riding through the North Georgia mountains and go through 4th a lot. Or not.

I have ordered the parts for a new tranny and should have it fixed next week. In the meantime, I'm still riding - just winding out 3rd somewhat and doubling up to 5th.
