Posts: 133 New Castle Delaware | I just got back from Americade last night. Had a great time and I spoke with the Indian Rep on Tuesday. I asked the rep if they will be coming out with a touring model. He said they are really not allowed to say much but he said all I can say is what did Victory do. He went on to say what would you like on your Vision, like maybe a intergrated built in gps system like the Goldwings? Just wait till the Indians come out. I told him I loved the way my Vision handled and he said just wait till the Indians come out, it is the easiest bike he had ever rode. He said that what they have planned at Sturgis is really going to be fun. I told him I was from Delaware and he said they are all ready in talks with someone about opening a Indian dealership there and also in the Baltimore MD, area. They had a working display of the 111 motor and it sounded awesome. I am really anxious to see what they come up with.
I test drove the Cross Country Tour. Really like the newer transmissions compared with my 2008 and the radio seems much better but I still think the Vision handles better. |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Polaris Industries is trying to rev up the market for its revival of Indian Motorcycle by lowering the base price for the 2014 model to $18,999, more than $7,000 lower than in previous years.
The lower price also comes as the company plans a formal introduction of the new motorcycle at the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, S.D., in August.
Polaris said the Sturgis event was started in 1936 by an Indian Motorcycle club called the Jackpine Gypsies

Polaris Indian is using a strategy unlike the previous two engagements with the brand. This will make the Indian a much more common motorcycle than they are today. On average I see at the most 2 Indians a year when out on the road. This does not include a dealership visit. I believe within the first year, Indians will be as common as spotting a Vic, which I see out and about 10 occurances a year outside of any sanctioned event. The second year will be the year that they will be very common, even more than spotting a Vic. That's just IMHO prediction. I'm not seeing right away a "cross bike" type touring model in the way of an Indian. Maybe cruise, windshield and bags. I don't see any lowers or farings just yet,

| I don't need another tour bike but I agree with with Steve, a new bagger would be nice. |

I've been in the dealership a few times and Mark Moses is a great guy, a passion for riding and a passion for the brand. He stepped well and took in Victory with the same passion. I like how he creates Indian/Victory of Charlotte signature models of Victory's by paint and accessorizing them. |

Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | varyder : He sure does, I stopped there last week ( I go to Charlotte alot these days to help my mom ) They had a CCT out front that was a beautiful blue and they had painted wide white racing stripes on it and it looked really good............Kinda like a AC Cobra paint job, I know that dosen't really fit a touring bike but none the less I though it looked great............Real standout.
It would be great to meet you there, we could test ride and then go have lunch and evaluate............
