Hi to everyone. I am new to this site and to Victory, having recently purchased a used 2009 Vision Tour Premium. Already have 2500+ miles on it since purchased and plan a short trip this weekend.

Looking ahead, I want to add some kind of rack on the trunk so I can add luggage to be carried on the rack for the spouse. What I'm finding runs $400 just for the rack.

Does anyone know of a generic solution to the rack that will work on the 2009? Alternatively, any other solution that will keep luggage on the trunk without damaging anything?

Thanks for your assistance & look forward to meeting some of you for real some day soon. First fest in August at Destination Helen. Anyone going?

welcome, I know this does not answer your question but I got the Vic Trunk Rack with the Vic Trunk Rack Luggage Bag and it works beautifully and holds a lot of stuff. It fits on perfectly and looks good also, doesn't look like an afterthought.

Greetings, I have seen a Honda Goldwing rack on a Vision trunk that didn't look bad. Personally we pack fast & light two up and keep everything inside what we have to work with, but after 30+ years of riding together you either get it figured out or go your separate ways or on separate bikes in the same direction. No way I would pay $400 for a rack & I'll throw myself on my buck knife before I pull a trailer with a motorcycle.

It's Will Molina @ Cycleops USA and yes, he can make you any rack you want - BUT he's NOT cheap. He makes his parts from the very best materials available. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I had the Victory rack on my '08 Vision and the chrome started peeling off in less than a year. IMHO, a total POS and a waste of $.

FWIW, Will Molina is a very Standup guy to deal with and like CoolHandLuke said, you get what you pay for!
I got the Black Powder covered rack from him......I've used for a week going to and fro to Daytona bike week, rode all over the state that week, did 2287 miles and had it loaded with one of my heavy bags of gear, got home and it still looks like it did when new.
When I got back I ordered the Black powder coat lower deflectors, they are great and I don't have to worry about breaking them off like the factory ones! Will does quality work and outstanding customer service.

Ooops, sorry, you're right it is Will. Don't know why I typed Wes. he built me a great custom rack. It easily holds a Decker TourPak Supreme.......

I have seen several CCT owners that have put H-D Racks on their bikes, and they actually look good. Ma Vic's stuff is just crazy overpriced ($399.00 for a CCT trunk rack, are you kidding me!).

How much weight can you put in one of those? It looks like a nice little trailer for the wife and I.

Thanks

I am not sure what weight max is but my wife and I have stuffed it full of clothes/shoes/jackets/etc many times and never had a problem.  Been on Blue Ridge Parkway and all around Pocono Mountains and many twisties, never had any issues.  Some uni go folks (not Vision drivers) complain about wobbling but as long as you fully tighten the hitch connection you'll be fine, don't leave any play when you slide the unigo hitch into the receiver hitch.  Their is a bolt there to lock it in.

I agree that Will make top notch stuff and is a top notch guy. I have one of his flying V racks and have used it a LOT! When I have nothing on it, people always comment on it.
