| Hi Guys,
Last year the Missus and I took a cross country trip including a bit of BC on the way home. We rode the Duffy Lake Loop as well as the Creston to Kamloops route and loved it. We're going to do it again this summer but would like to see more of Alberta and BC. I've already routed Glacier to Jasper following the normal tourista route which satisfies her so now I'm ready to route the real roads. Can you guys help me to identify the "can't miss" routes? We have no agenda so we can go anywhere. I'm figuring we will be there during the last half of September. Any help is really appreciated.

The ride from Osoyoos (Wine country) north through Penticton, Kelowna by the lakes is great.
Check out Banff Canmore and south on the Kananskis through Turner Valley. Just north is Black Diamond and South on the 22 along ranch country to Frank Slide by Blairmore and Bellvue. Calgary Stampede is first part of July
Drumheller dinosaur museum (Royal Tyrell)
Enjoy

Posts: 208 Edmonton Alberta, Canada | Kelowna to Vernon via Westside Road, narrow black top winds along lake through large timber. Old Number one from Junction of 93 to Banff. As far as Alberta goes, it flat and straight. Either forest or farmland. However the Monkey Top bar in Bentley Alberta, Best burger and Fries. Highway 22 south from highway 16 a nice ride less traffic than Highway 2 ( Edmonton to Calgary) I know there are some nice little rides Edmonton area, only that they are few and far between, but again that is what I ride most of the time. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | It can be wet that time of year - especially near the coast. Inland routes are ALL great and warmer and not so wet.
Avoid Trans-Canada #1 if you can. MAYBE use it to go east-west. The north-south routes are ALL beautiful. |
