Anybody ever been to Sturgis have a recommendation for how to stay there on the cheap side, short of not leaving Wild Bills and washing in the bathroom sink? I priced a campground at 3 large, for the week or a hotel 16 miles away for $300/night. I'd love nothing more than to go and see the new Indian unveiled but not at those prices!

I went several years ago and had a blast. I stayed at the Buffalo Chip and would go there again. Depending on what you want it can be cheap or expensive. But you not only get lodging, but a great concert every night and much more. Plus, every day was a great ride. So many places to ride and see. Buffalo CHip is party Central and loud all night long. So if you want to sleep, it ain't the place to go! LOL

A quieter campgroud is Glencoe. Again, tent vs. Cabin, etc will determine the price. And every bike week is over-priced.

I camp for $30 a night in Belle Fourche, it's quiet which is what I want. I'll be there , Lord willing.

I don't know what the prices are but check Keystone and Hill City areas. I have been renting my cottage for years in Hill City for $600 a week. Even have a place to wash my bike. Sure it's and hour ride into Sturgis but nothing the roads through Deadwood early in the morning with the cool mountain air.
See you there. Remember to sign up for the Victory luncheon.

I was at Sturgis last year. It was part of a much longer all the way across the country trip. Nothing like that this year, but I will go up to Gastonia NC to the Indian Flagship dealership and test ride a new Chief in late August or September.........I saw the engine in Daytona and it looked great.
