Posts: 28 So. Indiana | I was just thinking about this. Where do you expect Visions to bottom out for value (assuming an example in good condition). While I realize there is a difference between Harley and Victory... You aren't going to find an ultra glide (in good condition) for less than 7-8k, no matter the age. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Mine bottomed out at $35,000+++
I paid $32,000 cash in 2008 to my dealer - then KevinXinated - and some additions/improvements over the years.
Since it is my LAST bike - the 'bottom out' value is what I paid. I don't give a crap what my 'estate' gets out of it ...

Posts: 573 Central Illinois | I would expect the Vision Tour to bottom about the same as a Road Glide Ultra. I have owned both and they are very comparable except for the fact that the HD takes a lot more maintenance on average. A used bike buyer for a 5+ year old bike probably won't care about maintenance history and may well not be aware of historical issues with either brand. |

Posts: 11 Pittsburgh, PA | I think I understand you question. Like a GoldWing tends to bottom out at 3k-4k even for a 1982 as long as it has not been abused. In my neck of woods (Pittsburgh) 9k-10k for a comparable HD Electraglide from the 80's or early 90's. I own a 1998 Valkyrie and I am seeing that hover around 6k-7k the past few years, might be at the bottom? Vision??? I do not believe there is enough data to form an educated guess. History has not shown the Victory line to hold their values well compared the the bikes mentioned above, but the Vision........ This is a different creature and Vision has gained respect in the bike industry and from the paying public as a quality bagger though somewhat like the George Jetson bred his space ship with HD. I am not ready to buy a Vision as an investment (yet) but if i come across a a good enough deal I would entertain putting one in my garage till my current one is ready to retire.

| Keeping it till its a classic, specially since its a 08'. I have a 74 norton commando that's worth more than my vision. 15 years ago that norton could have been baught for 2000.00. Now they go for 9-13k. Hope I can say the same sorta thing bout the vision in the year 2045! |

I think I understand you question....
Exactly (I cut part of the text so you don't have to read back through it). Though Victory does not yet have heritage, there is an intrinsic value in a bike based on legacy and proven characteristics.
Right now I think most just see Vic as a Harley clone, but the Vision really is something different.
I don't own one yet myself, but after a test ride this coming month I'll decide one way or the other. At any rate, as others have mentioned, there are some that can be had for 11-12k and it just got me to thinking that I can't really see them going a WHOLE lot lower, just based on the bikes offerings. |

Posts: 573 Central Illinois | RCB, if you ride one you will own one. I first rode a 2008 Vision 2 months ago, now I am at mile 265 of the break-in for my own 2013 Vision. I traded my 2011 HD Road Glide Ultra and a little cash for it. |
