I had to replace my tires anyway so I decided to change rims to the new style 2012 rims. I picked up the new rims on Ebay for $225 each.  I think it came out pretty good.

That's a good price, I changed mine out a couple years ago for some customs. Cost a little more though.

Nice wheels! I might be slightly biased - same wheels that come on the 2013

I never paid much attention to any wheels other than what came stock on my '12. Good move changing out to the newer wheel.

I have a 2011 with those wheels. I must be the only guy around that likes the earlier wheel more. Not enough to be in the market for a set but maybe down the road.

Enjoy!

The newer wheels are more understated which works well for me (which doesn't make any sense since I bought a Vision to begin with). If you're rolling (and you should be), nobody's gonna see anything anyway. If you want a show bike, go buy a Hardley Ableson.

I am glad that you like your new rims.
Are you ready to sell the old ones? At least in the pictures, I like the old ones better than the 2013 rims that I will get with my bike next week. I would want a clear picture before committing to a price and shipping but those 2008s look nice to me.
If we all liked exactly the same thing, the after market people would quickly go broke.

Before you get rid of the old rims, how much do they weigh? Did you weigh the 2012 style rims before you mounted the tires? I'm considering a 2013 Vision, and I'm not sure I like the rims. I really like the billet wheels that used to be (still are?) available. However, since changing them would be expensive, I'll need a good excuse. Cutting a significant amount of weight would be a good excuse!
