| Take it right back to the dealer and stand there with the tech while they make a thorough inspection...Could be nothing, could be major...Vision's cost too much for any oil leaks on that new of a bike....Good Luck and let us know the outcome.... |

Posts: 87 Lusby,Md | I had a 2008 Vision and the front cylinder head was leaking after 37,000 miles , the valve guide had a crack in. It was replaced under warranty . Now I have a 2012 Cross Country Tour and the rear cylinder head gasket is leaking, almost 17,000 miles. My 2004 T/C is still going strong. Ma Vic! What's up!? |

| It will take months to fix if they have a Tech that can do it. If they don't have a Tech ask where they will ship it and to whom.
Best bet is to ask for NEW bike be firm but nice about it.
wish we new where you lived. |

| I just got off the phone with my dealer's service dept.(4-22-13) this is after taking the bike in last Monday (4-15-13) stopping in on Friday (4-19-13) and being told I would be getting a call on Saturday (4-20-13) (no call), with update. They say the clutch slave cylinder is leaking and the missing bolt was not the problem that this bolt seems to fall out of all Victory's. The missing bolt is beside the oil filter on the kickstand side. The good part is it's all covered the bad is don't know how long it will take. The Bike was bought at Gatto in Tarentum PA, it's about 20mi north of Pittsburgh. |

That's good news, at least they do not have to crack the engine case. Where exactly is this bolt? I want to check mine. |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | Kman , snow victory/polaris is really good! They have two shops as well.. btw my last victory dealer told me that over the past 3 years or so he has seen serious increase in the amount of warranty work they are now doing on victorys. Hell when I bought my 2011 victory, 20 mins after leaving the shop i had my first warranty claim!! |

| Okay, the missing bolt on the kickstand side got my attention. I have an 08 Vision that I bought in 08 and this is the first time I've heard of this bolt dropping out. I don't mean to highjack this thread but has anyone else had this experience?

+1 There are threaded casting holes in our blocks that do not have bolts in them. |

lol, the recall was for your brain, Chris!!
it is interesting that a dealer would suggest that Victory's in general have an issue with a bolt falling out of the engine !! |

| Well I started this now it's time to end it, I picked my bike up tonight 5-15-13, that's exactly one month from the day I droped it off. The oil leak turned out to be the clutch slave cylinder and the missing bolt really was not missing at all. They could have fixed it sooner but did not order all the parts they needed the first time because it was the first time they ever did this job. Drove the bike home about 15 mi. everything seems right, hope to take a longer ride in the next couple days.
