| I'm thinking about stopping by and seeing the Vic plant in September. Has anyone gone on the tour? If so, how long was it and was it worthwhile? I have to go about 500 miles round trip off course to get there.

| Marc;
I took a tour of the Spirit Lake, Iowa plant a couple of years ago and it was great! A guy from the paint department walked me around for about one hour. The engines are assembled in Osceola, WI. then shipped to Spirit Lake. The assembly line starts with the engine being placed into the frame and the build continues down the line. Every bike was started and run for about one minute while lights, gauges, all kinds of stuff was checked. I could tell the people working there were proud of what they make, and enjoyed their jobs. Do make advanced arrangements. Well worth your trip!

| I took the plant tour while I was at the AVR and just happened to get the plant manager as our tour guide. Very informative. Told him of a trouble I was having with the bike and he had some one fix it. |

| In 2000 took a plant tour in WI during Wings and Wheels. How many here did it? Roadkill tried to take pics of the new stuff but none came out, wasn't his camera... Good old days. That's where they hung the handlebar clamp the VMC donated. |
