No wider shields available that I know of. Some taller or shorter, but all the same width....

Here is the first 3rd party aftermarket windshield I am aware of.

http://www.ceebaileys.com/victory/index.html

I should have one sometime this Month. They are made at the time of order, so
there is a small wait.

"Mudge" informed us about the company's product last Month. I hope many vendors
start making Vision products. We'll see.

I replaced the stock windshield on my Tour Premium with the "tall" one from Victory. My wife said there was a noticeable difference for her on the back. It didn't really make a lot of difference to me (I'm 6 foot tall) When riding alone, I can still see over the top of it when it's fully down.

I just installed to +2 inch Vic Windshield last week. Just yesterday we returned from an overnight ride to visit some family that was just under 900 miles round trip. Wife said that she liked the taller shield much better than the stock height. That extra 2 inches was just enough to get the wind up over her head at highway speed and she now has no problems at all with any buffetting while riding. I like it because I can still see over it when it is lowered.

400+ miles....1 stop for gas/food....1 stop for mother nature. Stereo Volume on 25 with 4GB Mem card full of music loaded in the Zumo550 and set on random play. Wife on the back enjoying the ride with me. Newfie Flag flapping in the wind. Smiling all the while. I love this bike.

I just put on the Cee Baileys dark grey in the 16in... VERY nice quality. Thanks to those that posted info on this product. Arizona Victory will be carrying this product line, so if you are in AZ you can check them out at the dealership to see the difference.

The last couple of photos in my Gallery show the new windshield...

25??? My god, are y'all deaf? I play mine at 12 on the interstate and hear it with no problem. My wife says she knows when I'm coming home because she hears the music as I round the corner and then a couple seconds later she hears the exhaust.

Not yet but I'm workin' on it But seriously, I wear a 3/4 helmet and that helps drown it out a little. With my stock exhaust, people may not hear the bike's exhaust coming but they have no excuse to not hear the music. I sometimes notice people's heads turning in cars ahead of me looking for the source of the music....if they are turning their heads, that's a good thing, more likely they will see/hear me instead of cutting me off. Loud tunes save lives!!!!

Doing a little searching for taller windshields and am resurrecting this thread. I like the idea of the Cee Bailey 4" taller windshield, but not sure I am sold on the rounded look. Any of you go from the taller Vic shield to this one? Please post the difference you have felt.

Thanks,

Luv it, luv it, luv it !!!!!! Not only 4" taller than stock, it's also a little wider. Really keeps the rain/love bugs off of us. Well worth the $

CoolHandLuke how are the optics with that shield? I don't like the optics of the stocker at all.

Also since it is wider does it still retract down in?

+1 ... what steve471 said.

I don't like the optics of the stocker either...are there any shields available without the 'flip' on the top?

No distortion at all. The stock Victory shield had so much distortion it was almost unusable and it was polarized which made looking through it w/ my polarized prescription glasses like I was looking through a kaleidoscope.

It has notched lower corners so it DOES lower all the way down.

I really like it & it was well worth the $

John, I got the same shield Luke did. The first one came and there was some distortion in the top 2". Sent them an email and the sent me a new shield right away and this one is perfectly clear.

Hi Bill,

Does your new shield have the flip on the top?  and  Are you and your co-rider happy with the air handling it provides?

I've got a conflict the weekend of Boscobel or I would have liked to join the crew there...please say hello to all for me!

No, it does NOT have the "flip lip" @ the top. Yes, we (my S.O. & I) both like it a lot. Well worth the $, IMHO

John,

No flip as Luke said. Momma has not decided where the shield needs to be yet, all the way up she gets wind from the back of her.

Sorry you can't make Boscobel, not 100% sure I will yet.

Is there any adjustment up with the Blade shield?

If you have the motorized adjustable windshield, yes, the blade will move "up" to the same point as the stock shield in its fully lowered position.

There is a TON of wind in your face when the blade is all at the bottom. Go figure, it's like riding without a windshield. Putting it all the way up takes care of most of that.

When it is all the way down, the bike has a Mickey Mouse look with the mirrors and the rounded top of the windshield when you are looking straight ahead and catching the view in your lower peripheral vision. Other than that, the blade makes the bike look awesome when the trunk is not attached! Very clean and fast!
