| Has anyone tried the Shinko se890? I put a set on my Vision this morning. I got front and rear sent to my home for $216 and some change. This is nearly half of the cost of the e3's (worst motorcycle tire ever), and nearly $100 cheaper than the Bridgestones (most ugly motorcycle tire ever). I put about 50mi on them today, and they felt great. We will see about long term. |

New Orleans, La, | I have the Shinkos' front and rear and think they are at least good as if not equal to the Bridgestones, Continemtials, and the E 3s I've had. I still think the Avon Cobras rule but, at the price and performance, so far, the Shinkos rule. |

| I have friend with a GW that uses Shinkos. Has a between 4 and 5k on the current set. Says he never has a problem. I have to wonder if the coming apart issue was an inflation problem. |

Jasper, MO | I've used Shinko 009 tires on some other bikes and I like them. They handle good, and wear much better (sport bikes) and cost half what the "Big Boys" tires do. (The 009s are a harder compound tire for sport bike riders looking for better mileage). I was not aware that they had radials now for the Goldwing and Vision. I will probably try a set the next time I need tires for the Vision.
According to Rider magazine, Shinko is a Japanese company that bought out Yokohama's motorcycle tire business in 1998 and does the tire engineering in Japan and the MC tire manufacturing in Korea and China. The 009s I've used are a quality tire at a low price. I have no experience with the SE890s. Yet.

Land O Lakes, FL | I'm too paranoid to run anything but Dunlops or Bridgestones. The bikes are so heavy and those two companies really try and develop a tire that works with the weight of our bikes. Avon has done well over the years too but I haven't had luck with them I love my stones I have 8k on them right now and they look great still and don't sing to me going down the highway lol. |

Northeast Ohio | Lke Phantom, I won't run them becuase of the load rating. The Shinko is rated at 827lbs (Load rating 74), which is lower than the Bridgestone's (76) and even lower than the Dunlop E3 and Avon Cobra (80). |

Take a look at the Michelin Commander II rear tire. I have almost 17K on it and should get at least 22K before I hit the wear bars. The load rating is greater than a Dunlop or stone. I have ran all 3 tires and the Michelin is a better tire IMHO. |

| I have a race team and Shinko sponsors us. they are great tires and I run them on all my bikes from KLR 650 to BMW LT. I just bought a 08 Vision and when I need tires for it they will be Shinok. |

Last I heard, the Commander II in the correct size for our bikes is NOT a radial tire.... are you running a bias ply up front also ?

Huntsville On Canada | Less than 15000km on these and the front is coming apart. Cracks all through it, one so deep it looks like I'm seeing the cord. Been down all day Mon . in Beckely West Virgina waitng for the honda dealer to open up today. Pretty shitty tire IMO. I'll try to get pictures and post them when I get home.
