I love my 2008 Vision!  The only complaint I have is now that it's paid off and going on five years old, I would normally be looking to upgrade bikes.  Not with this bike.  I can't find a reason not to keep it until 100,000 miles.  Seeing I only have 24,400 miles now, that should be a long time.  Not a single issue in four years of ownership.  Victory mechanics must hate the R&D folks in Spirit Lake.

Rain stopped this morning and the sun came out with the temperatures holding at 54 degrees.  Went for a beautiful 108 mile ride.  Stopped and visited the school disaster monument in New London, TX. Rode the long way home just to mess with my Garmin.  It was a fun ride.

24400 in 5 years. Don't you enjoy riding? I live well north of you and ride around 8000 miles per year. That thing is like new in my mind, keep it and ride it.

Wow I've had my 2011 for a year now, it has 18,000 on it! Go ride more lol! I usually get tired of a bike at about the 1 year mark, I can imagine getting rid of my Vision. Unless it's for another Vision.

In Texas, I would have at least 8000 miles each year, heck I get that much here in Central Illinois where winters are far more severe. Get out and ride that thing. Quit leaving it in the garage when you could be riding. I ride whenever the temperatures are at least 25F and there is no snow or ice on the road. If you followed that lead you would have double your present mileage.

bought my 2008 Vision May 25th of 2012. I know what you mean about the Vision. Varyder has probably 140,000 on his , still running strong. I put over 27,000 miles on mine in less than 10 months!

Rides like you took, Jon, with no particular destination, nothing dire on the schedule, are great.

5" of snow here last night. The Vision will be parked for a couple of days until it melts off the roads. Hopefully it's gone before this upcoming 3day weekend.

Well the winter is sure holding on here in the Chicago area. Saturday it was close to 60 deg and it was the first chance I have had to take the Vision out (weather/busy). I decided to fill up the gas tank and run to Menards for some small items I needed. I also picked up some lunch. In total I drove about 15 miles but WOW did it feel good to just get riding again.... It was both fun and soul cleansing if you know what I mean. When I got home I cleaned the bike up and put the cover on. The next 10 days look like rain and more cold temps..... Might get one day out of the next 10 but not sure.

Can't wait to start riding to work again.

soul cleansing is exactly how I would describe it. As we say in the South, Bless your heart. If I had to go 2 days without riding, I think a part of me would die.

I also have 136K on my 99. I work 60 hours a week , have a varsity cheerleader daughter, my boy is 14 and plays football and basketball so , it can be done with a family and a job. When I get Blue back , it will be on Chris!
