question...bear with me. I have 09 tour prem. I purchased it pre-owned. it has [supposedly] I,ve no reason to doubt; lloyds cams, vfc controller, power comm. and upper intake filter.. I have dyno sheet@ 110 hp. runs great! all was installed at daytona bike week one year ogo by kmc performance.question? should I get black soot to blo out exhaust when I get on it? if I get on it often it is not noticed. kmc told me it is set up to run rich and cannot be adjusted leaner. mabe need to hoss it more? I have left black patches on my garage doors revving engine is this normal?

Mine does it too. I did lean out the VFC a half point on whatever it was controlling this, but it did it before the cams with a stock set up as well. I wouldn't be concerned if I were you.

Had the same issue with my '09 while running the VFC and they always put me in the back when riding in a group. While at the AVR a couple of years ago, Lloyd tried to dial it out while on the dyno and couldn't lean the VFC up enough for some reason. He suggested that we switch it over to the PCV and it doesn't make any black smoke now. Nice thing is, the gatlin tips stay clean for a lot longer now and my actual hand calculated fuel mileage is back up from the upper 20's to the mid 40's now.
