Posts: 136 CALGARY ALBERTA | I am thinking about powder coating the trim pieces.
Front grill, dash, side panel and maybe the handles and rear tips.
Possibly flat black?
Thanks Bobby B |

| are you concerned with the looks, or the durability? if its the looks maybe you could cover one side with black tape or something and get an idea if you like it...just sayin. |

Posts: 136 CALGARY ALBERTA | Hey Cool Hand
I noticed you powder coated the drive sprocket cover in gloss black.
I was thinking about gloss for the front fairing windshield and dash panels and flat for the rest?
Did you have to prep any of the panels or did the powder coat adhere to the Grey finish?
Nice exhaust as well
Thanks BB

Posts: 249 Phenix City AL. | When you powder coat the trim, their is a good chance ( 90 % LOL ) the mounting points will come un glued, you will have to reattach them, When I did my set I screwed the front valence up, cost a few $$ to fix. |

Posts: 136 CALGARY ALBERTA | Thanks, that's my concern. Would the glued pieces survive the heat? I didn't want to frame the question.
A friend gives me a very good deal on powder coating.
I restore vintage brit bikes which don't have any glue issues

And YES, I had to re-glue the attachment points on the access panel (below the windshield).

Did you have any issues with powder coating the windshield panel or the 2 panels behind engine?
Both have glued parts
Did you engrave the fork legs?
Thanks BB

Yes, a guy in Myrtle Beach machines them for Buywitchdoctors.com . Knowing what I know now I would ask to have the word VISION machined starting one letter lower on the fork.
