Hello All
I made the switch to the Vision Tour Model from HD, and could not be happier with my choice. After 30 plus years on harleys this by far has to be the best road bike I have owned. Picked it up 3 weeks ago and will turn 3,000 miles today. Look forward to learning the ins and outs of the bike as there seems to be alot of knowledgeable people on this site.

Bob,

Congratulations! I wish I could get more of my HD friends to just try the Vision. I know that they would like it or at least understand why I do.

Happy trails!

I have run into the same "problem" with my HD buddies. I let any of my friends that want to ride my Vic (my original Kingpin and the new Vision), but the only ones that ever do are the ones that ride Jap bikes. All my HD buddies give me a very hesitant, "uh, no... that's ok..." My guess is that they are afraid they may like the Vic better than the HD.

I correct myself: One of my best buds and my brother-in-law (both VERY die-hard HD guys) took my bikes for a spin and both of them said the same thing. "Damn! That thing is nice!"

Bob-

Just converted over myself less than a week ago. I've had two of my HD buddies ride it, and they were both pleasantly surprised. Not that either of them would ever jump ship, but they at least understand my decision. In a perfect world, I'd always have one of each...

Welcome Bob!

This site is great for info on the most comfortable and unique touring bike made. I've been riding Harleys since 84, and I bought mine the end of March. Where are you located?

RIDE SAFE!!! ENJOY!!

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I am located 1 hour west of chi-town, a little town of Hampshire.
I must say this site is such a wealth of info as I have always worked on my own bikes. So I got a new one to learn about.

Hey Bob, welcome. I had almost the same story as you. 30+ years with nothing but Harley...until they really ticked me off with their attitude and customer disservice. I was escorted out of the Stealership and asked not to return. Jumped on my 07 Ultra and headed to Victory. Best thing i have done in a long time, although i did go back to the Harley place about 4 days later and asked the salesman if they had any used Victorys....got the expected reply...this is a Harley Dealership...yep....funny if you go to the Victory dealer they have alot of used Harleys.........

My dealer has quite a number of used HD's as well. People keep trading them in...go figure.

Welcome Bikertrash666,

Same story 28 years of HD and switched to the Vision a couple of weeks ago. Congrats. Did you buy @ Randy's?

Yes I did, nice people to work with. Just ordered the trunk plate and will remove the trunk for awhile. The girl don't like it, Oh well she will get over it LOL

Try getting her the passenger backrest.....It is a little pricey, and you will need to cut the trunk plate for the backrest risers, but it is large and comfy, and she won't feel like she's about to get blown off the back every time you give the throttle a good twist! Mine has been in this configuration since about a week after purchase, but will be converting back to the trunk after this weekend in preparation for our trip to WA state and Canada from Denver the end of this month.

Bob:

Same here, I liked my Road King, but I like the Vision better. I won't cut down HD, they are made in the USA.
