Posts: 169 Iowa | I am helping Victory with the AVR and we are looking for bikes to represent each of the 15 years the brand has been producing this great bike. We are looking for first year models on all years plus non-first year models. If you plan on attending the AVR this year (August 16 $ 17) and would be willing to display your bike at the pavilion, send me a PM with your contact information, your bike model, and year. Note if it is a first year model and I will compile the list and submit it to the AVR committee. Thanks for your interest. Hope to see you at the 15 year celebration. |

| As much as I would like to see something similiar, I doubt it will happen for a while if at all....Hell the internet article today on Wall Street is hot on HD stock and claim Harley plans to sell 265,000 bikes in 2013...A far, far cry from what Ma Vic will sell even though, in my opinion Vic makes the better bike...HD is a American Icon and will continue to be "top-dog" for years to come with a marketing scheme that is bar none in the world....They might not build the best bikes, but those that buy do not care!!!!...Because it is a Harley Davidson and "that's that".......Polaris stock is also a very good stock to buy, but not too many do because HD is a household word, not Vic...JMHO

I agree. Victory is young, but old enough to have some history. Maybe they could convert the temporary facilities that were being used to build the final King's Mountain Indians into a museum after the Indian production line in the expansion to the present Victory factory gets going full time. A museum with an Indian section and a Victory section perhaps. That would be cool.

Anyone going to the AVR?lol, yeppers, but we'll be riding ours, not displaying it.
The display deal sounds cool though. Hope they get enough.

I'm having some painting done right now on the dash/speaker/trunk flat black pieces...hopefully it looks good.
See you in August!

Chris - here is something for you to be proud of - it is something I do - and I am SURE many of the other members do. ANYTIME I get in a discussion about my VV - I mention YOU ! Conversation goes like: "Well, I have never had a problem worth talking about. We have one of our VV owners who has more than 220,000 kilometers on his bike since new in 2008 - and still going strong". Chris - we're proud of YOU - and we're proud of VICTORY for making this possible. YES - you SHOULD have your Vision on display! PROUD display !!! |

No, don't wash it. Display it how you ride it. |

Posts: 573 Central Illinois | kris1956, you are right. Way too many folks will just go straight to an HD with no consideration of any other bikes. I presently own an HD FLTRU that I want to trade for a Vic Vision. Whether or not I am successful, I will continue to think the Vic is the better bike. Where does that get me? Nowhere at all, the HD is a "proven" model sold by a proven manufacturer. No matter the quality differences, they will always win until we can turn around the public opinion on these bikes. That is a tall order for Vic to overcome. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | If I do make it, I'll wash it when I leave home. As far as Harley being "proven", they've only been proven as a lifestyle. I do not know of one Harley rider that doesn't complain about maintenance and comfort, or the amount of money to put into it make it what they like. Victory doesn't have the history like Harley and Indian. So, there are many who will own either because they always wanted one. It's hard to say that about Victory when, even at 15, a vast majority has never even heard about them, or they heard about them from their naysaying Harley buds. Victory would do well if they can pump a little Victory lifestyle into their mantra. Sonny Barger's film "Dead in 5 Heartbeats" has just been released and the lead characters, including the one that portrays him, is riding Victory. I think that will help it along some, but it will be another 10 years before Victory is the serious contender among the "biker" crowd. |

| Amazing how a request for Victory bike display turns into a HD bash.
Maybe you should contact Ma Vic about the bikes they displayed at Sturgis(luncheon at Spearfish) back when 10th came out they had each major model through the years there. I was looking for pics of it but must be at home.
Jimtom, what you got? I am still hanging around 56,000. I ride the Vision way too much.

| I must say I'm glad there are not 1000's of victory's out there. that what makes them special. hd's are not eye openers like the vision is. over and over again when out with my buddies, people are drawn to the vision. It take a really special hd to stand out. and oh... where does one purchase polaris stock? |
