| Is it just me, but my front tires wear faster than my rear on the VV. Never had this issue with other bikes, usually get almost double the life on the front over the rear. Any thoughts? |

| Had the same trouble on a 79 Goldwing as did most 79 GW. Cause was really good dual front brakes. Not so good rear brake. Some guys put a rear tire on the front. I chose to use the front brakes less & push harder on the rear brakes. |

What pressures do you run?

| I did 15k on my E3 and I think the trick is check the first of every month with a gauge not one of those pencil things.
In really hot weather 90 plus check twice a month.
Last summer when it was 90 plus I would find a loss of 3 to 4 pounds. Yes its not much but a $200 dollar tire is a lot
Do not forget to check your shock |

Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Since the Vision has linked brakes; I always use the foot pedal and apply a little more with the front brake lever. At just about 12,000 miles now... both my front and rear E3's are wearing evenly.
I keep 40psi in the front and 42psi in the rear. I hope to get close to 15,000 - 18,000 miles out of them. We'll see. If I do, I'm definitely buying another set of E3's |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | might just be a bad compound in the tire. I always get at least 5,000 - 7,000 miles more on my front E3 than I do the rear E3. You have to be faithful in keeping the air pressure constant. Also, weight would have a factor also, as well as riding habits. The only other thing to do is to keep your eye on Herb, he may be switching out your tire. |

Posts: 46 Western Wyoming | Replaced the rear @ 15 but had probably 2k mi. left on it.The front has 18k and will go to somwhere around 22k. 42 lbs. r/40 lbs.f and am pretty anal about checking the presure. The Tiregard TPMS is well worth the money imo.
I get aprox. the same wear as with the Dunlop 407/408s on my last Harley. The 402's I had on earlier Harleys would go 10-12k rear 22-24k front |

Posts: 499 Chattanooga, TN | I always had to replace my front tire early due to cupping. This was with E3s. I kept the pressure at 41/41. I tHink where I ride there are just too many twisties so the center compound doesn't wear very much when I have to replace it. Te rear does fine. Put on a Bridgestone G709 a few thousand miles ago and I love it, feels really stable, but time will tell. I'll take traction over wear any day of the week and twice on Sunday. |

Posts: 599 New Mexico | Seems like I have had this issue on all street bikes. Front always wearing out before the rear.
On the Vision I am guessing about 12-14k out of front, and 35-40k on rear (Car Tire), although those numbers a bit of a swag. Since I installed the Duran TPMS seems I'm getting more miles per tire. I was getting 8-10K on front, but now at 11K and still have plenty left.

Posts: 118 Spfld, IL but temp Bay area, CA | I've been averaging 13, 500 on the rear E3s and got 17K+ on the original front--could have gone further but were cupping and was heading to National meet in Prescott. Have 15k on current front and will probably change prior to heading out for Lewiston and Sturgis this year. |
