Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Thought that the roads would've been washed well enough by the rains last night; from the snowstorm that failed to materilize yesterday. Nope; on my way to work this morning with my Vision; endured a 40 mile highway stretch of dry salt dust.
At least the roads are dry and my bike is not wet. Will wash it all off tonight (I hope).
One question I do have though; is of the frame assembly of the Vision. It is an aluminum type alloy... correct? Do out Visions have more of a propensity for corrosion due to that? |

No outdoor faucet. The bike either just gets wiped down or it goes to the car wash. |

Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Normally just wipe my rides down as well; but when salt is around.. glad that I can knock it out in my backyard driveway; with a hose.
However; i did get home too late tonight (dark and cold) and believe it or not; I decide and used; two swiffer pads on a cleaning wand; and actually got almost all of the salt powder off; since the bike is dry and never got wet today; only coated with salt dust from the traffic.
I know that it is not a "proper" cleaning but Saturday I will be taking the hose to it exclusively. |
