Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Why is he "posing" He's not even riding the bike. You can see the shadow and possibly the sole of his boot on the other side of the bike, below the crankcase.
Does that bike roll?
Is that a Canadian? Per chance?
Is that a "action shot"?
All in fun

Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | Don and his wife are both very nice people- I'd guess he's on old Hwy 99 South of downtown (which parallels I-5) and since they rarely travel with others. I'm sure there was no one to take a photo except his wife and he's too much of a gentleman to make her run alongside while snapping pictures. (and she'd probably put a knot on his head if he tried) You're just upset because he can legally ride @ 100 indicated....OK, it's KPH which is 62 MPH. |

I live there (Mt. Vernon, WA) and Tulip/Daffodill time is coming so those of us who live here stay off the roads on weekends as they fill up with out of towners who act like idiots and all seem to have forgotten how to drive. I can drive/ride about 10 blocks and wind up on a bluff overlooking a large part of the fields if I have an uncontrollable urge to commune with nature. With our very mild Winter this year (40-45 and monsoon style rains) they ought to be jumping out of the ground very soon.
If you buy Tulip bulbs from Holland there's an even chance the bulbs came from the Skagit Valley |

I wuz down to the Skagit Valley on Sunday - and wished I could be riding Monday - but I stayed home and put the Chrome Tipovers on. Let's keep in touch - I don't want to miss the 2013 Tulip Festival. Last year - we ended up at some copy-cat thing up our way that wasn't near the beauty of Skagit. |

Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | One nice effect of riding a motorcycle; you can most surely sense the smells from the environment around you; those flowers must've been a powerful jolt to the sense of smell as you drove amongst them.
Nice pic of the crater lake Don. |

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | Hey poser, did you leave the clamps on those tipovers? Now that would male me laugh. Since i believe those covers come with double-sided tape, I hope you didnt break a nail. I know how tough that tape can be for a guy your age. |

Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | April 1 thru 31, 2013. Official site @ www.tulipfestival.com If you get the ENTERTA.......Er....WEATHER CHANNEL feed from Bellingham you can at least be assured they can tell you when it will be light or dark. or put www.usairnet.com into 'Favorites' and you can select any airport in the U.S. (and parts of CehNehDeh) by it's 4 letter IACO coding to see what the aviation weather forecast will be for the next three days (there is a locator index by state and major city on pg.1) Mt. Vernon is KBVS for 'Bay View Skagit'. It wil give you a good idea of how to pack for the next few days and should be able to get updates @ any public library. Used it for several years. |
